  • Nice haul Tim.

  • i got to complete my pitt collection. i love keowns art. oo image turtles were awesome , i got a few of them.

  • You find such good deals. Always with your under dollar issues. You live in a great area.

  • I have almost all the Pacific Comics that were published back in the days and i'm still amazed at how high the quality was on those books and why their not more sought after but that's to our advantage because i believe one day they will be very highly desirable and part of a new bronze and copper indie sub age.

  • @captainstrangelife Ahh captain, yet again you find the words I'm lacking. The 80's "sub age" of indies were varioed in stories and quality. First Comics and PC really had some great stuff. Eclipse seems to be the only publication that makes news now and again over copyright fights with McFarlane over Miracle(Marvel)Man and the heap. I sorta like having characters and books that aren't oversatuated or talked about to death. Sorta why I have'nt done a video on Eric Powell's The Goon.

  • @howlermouse Ahh the Goon! Tis one hell of a ride! Wish the book would be on a more tidy publishing schedule.

  • would you do a video of just Continuity books please?

  • @BGranoff Thinking hard about it. Let me dig and see what Continuity books I still have left. If I don't do a whole vid I'l include them in one. Thnaks for the suggestion! ;)

  • Those Vangaurd covers are amazing! They quickly moved to the top of my want list. I have never heard of those Neal Adams "Armor" books but then again that is why I watch your videos, to learn something new! I've always seen Lone Wolf and Cub but never pick it up, I might have to now. Gray and Palmiotti are a great team but I do not really think Hawkman was the right character for them to do. Awesome video as always!

  • @gopeepants The Vanguard books started out strong but the quality decreased as the serious progresses (IMO). I can't really explain why I like Armor besides the look! The concept sounds grest but the execution of the story varied. I may just have to do a vid after reading them all in one sitting.

  • I never saw that what if...beast\thing comic. And all those lone wolf and cub books are all great reads. There are old subtitled lone wolf and cub movies. There pretty bad though

  • @optimustron001 Oh wow! I forgot I saw one of those Lone Wolf and Cub black and white movies. Glad I forgot or I never would have bought the books. I flipped through one and it seemed really well done. The nudity surprised me but it was tasteful.

  • Like that Amazing Adventures book. I have that What If 37, Nice cool run of GI Joe there. I have Armor .Shame Continuty didn't last long either. I have a ton of those Image issues and Fire from Heaven. Sad to say lol. I've always heard the praise too for Lone Wolf and Cub. You should get the run of Hawkman from 37-44. That run was great. Hawkgirl 50 and up sucked. DC screwed up tryin to make Hawkgirl fit a cartoon. Readership tanked and the Hawks as characters have sucked for years due to it.

  • @Ecwfan I knew I was taking a chance on the Hawkgirl books. An impulse buy ,especially for what I paid for the whole stack. Not the first time I picked up a stinker. I think the reason I'm picking up more Image (I can't believe I said that) is the cream of the books are slowly rising to the top. No more wondering when the book will be out and it is over 15 years later on some of this stuff. Plus there cheap. Overall I think Contunity could hype their books well but the stories lacked substance.

  • @howlermouse I think their cream of the crop is basically the Gen13 , Wildcats , Supreme (Alan Moore run) Savage Dragon stuff. Because Wildstorm was bought by DC. Now the characters like Gen13 and Grifter from Wildcats is part of the new DCU.

  • That comic smell! I need to get some G.I Joe, I want the first appearance of Croc Master.

  • @owenneil There's a blast from the past! My aves were Major Blood and Zartan!

  • Gotta love those anthology titles from the 80's. Pacific, First, Eclipse, and later on Caliber. Great stuff from some huge names. sigh... off to find my old copies of Alien Worlds and Twisted Tales!

  • @asmodiousdestiville Love, love love Twisted Tales. You lucky dog you! ;)

  • I loved The Books Of Magic, I have the first 7 volumes in trade expect Volume 3 and the single #'s of Hunter - Age of Magic except #'s 2 3 17 & 18 and all the single #'s of Books of Magic: Life During Wartime - I've shown off the single issues in two of my LongBox History videos, check out B & H of the series if you haven't already. The comparisons between Tim and that Potter kid is undeniable.

  • @GhostCritic I have the original mini series with issue 3 signed by Charles Vess and Neil Gaiman! I need to get the Trenchcoat Brigade mini series now that I think about it. But so far I'm really enjoyinh the on going! I will be checking out your vids! I remeber watching the B's but it's beem awhile! I may be hooked!

  • I could be wrong, but I think in continuity the Beast is still mutating. Seems like they've covered it in the past about how he's becoming more and more cat-like. Great haul! Really digging the gi joe books. I didn't care for the first movie, but the previews for the next one look amazing!

  • @howdeep02 I remeber when Grant Morrison took the Beast up alevel with the second mutationson his New X-Men run. He was going for a Beaty and the Beast theme with the guy. Morrison turned him into a major bad guy in that future. Should be interesting where they're taking him now!
