CJ is coming to my home town in January or febuary, I will go to see him. I saw it at the very ever 2nd showing (right after the premere) at my home town's high school. Go Bremerton Knights!
The song is "Of This I'm Sure" by TL Forsberg, the deaf singer in SEE WHAT I'M SAYING. It should be available on CD this summer - keep checking our website and become a fan of our facebook fan page for all the news!
I am a hearing person that is learning asl. I saw the movie last night for my Deaf Event. This movie moved me like no other movie has. I love movie's, I cant wait for this one to come out to the theaters so I may take my children to see it, also on DVD, I'm getting it. I want to tell the hearing com; that are in need to watch this, learn that we are all the same no matter what we may go through in life.
Now if you think, i lost my hearing...yeah, but all i can hear 24/7 is BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP because of Tinnitus..i just wish there was silence! complete silence! i will be extremely happy
i have a friend who is an interpreter she has people come up to her and they ask ger about being an interpreter she tells them to please consider another career because this is a field that you dont want to get into
I'm an interpreter. I've helped train a lot of interpreters. Why does she feel that way? Burned out? Yes, It can be very hard, but you have to do it for the RIGHT reasons.
I think perhaps you need to stop talking about deaf deaf deaf, just do your things then hearing people will enjoy your entertainment and will be look past your deafness. Maybe hearing people are tired of hearing you say negative about yourself.. maybe you thought but have you thought you could be wrong? just a penny thought. By the way I am deaf and graduated from a deaf school. This is just my perspective because I have been in a hearing world as well. I just am happy.
I can totally relate wth TL because i was hearing person at the age of 26 and half years old...and 'cause of Presbycusis and Tinnitus i am hoh deaf and learning ASL and being part of deaf culture...though what TL was saying not being deaf enugh or hearing enough and stuck in a parallel universe of both worlds ..it is exhausting
this is phenomenal. I am so excited to see this film in theaters.. i am also soo proud of you hilari... from clark gesner to this..you were my first.. girl i worked with in nyc.. and the one i am most proud of
we saw the movie in my sign language class in school :)

It would be nice if the whole clip was captioned for the ~32 million of us who are hard-of-hearing and do NOT sign.
Worse, it damages us lobbying for captioned Internet content (COAT).

Great promo! These look like outtakes or scenes not included in the movie release I saw. Will the DVD include more extra scenes?

I read that Shoshannah Stern is going to be in this - TL is a very good singer!
I am getting ready for a course to learn ASL; I think that should count for a language in schools!
randomrandomnessgirl 3 years ago
It should count; I'm taking ASL in my High School and it counts as a foreign language credit.
