@935imagination539 It is a very hard piece. Liszt did not produce anything that was not very hard to play. Remember, Liszt was the best pianist of all time. I have arranged the 3rd Movement of Beethoven Symphony #1 and the finale of Beethoven Symphony #5, and uploaded them onto my channel, but with limitations - my hands are not anything like as big as Liszt's were - his were the largest hands ever possessed by a pianist.

I think the version that Gould was playing was the Kalkbrenner version, not the Liszt.  It had the heavier sound characteristic of the Kalkbrenner version.
