Good to know, haha even though Its been flown many times since this video. Hopefully this spring I will get some real good flying videos of planes. I have several cameras now, so I could probably get some cool shots.
By the way where did you buy the pilot figure!! I can't find the same yellow one from tower hobbies. Please let me know where you get it from. Thanks great video
It sure is, although it can be a huge money pit. I have told myself that when all of my existing planes have crashed that I will be done. Ive tossed a lot of money into these things, and they are very fun. But to me its not worth constantly crashing planes. do me a favor and make sure your battery pack is VERY secure. I lost this plane because the battery came loose and shot out the back of the plane. The saito 56 should create a nice power level for this plane.
For a first plane do NOT get an aerobatic plane such as this. They are rather unstable and difficult to fly. May i suggest either a Hobbico Nexstar or for a more fun aircraft, a hangar 9 Mustang PTS MKII.
If you don't want the battery to fly out again, i put a strip of servo tape under the battery it works great, but you need to charge the battery in the plane
@modeltrain9500 nice lol i was thinking about getting a piper J3 Cub kit but there is so many parts to put them together plus the one im looking at is $300
@modeltrain9500 another thing im worried about is landing it if i get one im going to get floats on it so when i go up to madeline island this summer i can land one in the lake cause thats the only big area to land it since it is lake supioror
oh, well A plane will fly the same over land as it will water, May I suggest putting balloons in the airplane if you put floats on it so it floats higher in the air. Until you are in the water, The balloons wont do anything to the plane. Its just a safety thing
no, the space between your ruder and your fuselage is perfect

I just finished one of these airplanes. I'm running a saito 56 and an APC 13x4 prop. It flies great. BTW, I'm only 16. Great hobby isn't it?

How old are you? You sound young. I ask because I'm 15, love this hobby, and theres not many younger people in this hobby. Thanks

the gap in the rudder shouldnt matter but do you have a Piper J3 cub or a supper cub?

Ive got a 40 sized Piper Cub

Cubs are fun planes. The larger it is the easier it is to fly, keep that in mind. The small ones have a snap tendency, which is bad.
