In City of Fallen Angels, Lilith made some passing comment that Simon WAS NOT the first Daylighter. That means somebody was the FIRST. What if a cure is found for Jem and the cure involved angel's blood some kind of way. And THEN he was transformed into a vampire? If he was healthy at one point, he could have impregnated Tessa (or some other lucky woman), which could explain Emma Carstairs - the main character of The Dart Artifices series.

@ladytakiko1493 No Problem! Cassie's new series is titled The Dark Artifices. It will be set in modern day Los Angeles. The heroine is Emma Carstairs. She's blonde and a Shadowhunter. Julian is a Shadowhunter too and he has brown hair. I don't know about Mark. We will see them mentioned in CoLS; so look out for characters aged 12-13. They will probably be in TDA. TDA will take place 5 years after the events of City of Heavenly Fire. Check out the fansite tmisource[dot]com. All the info is there!

@christinamorden there are no Carstairs in TMI but there are in the other shadowhunter series that Cassie has been thinking about. the main character is a Carstairs.

All I want is for Will and Tessa to be together, Tessa NOT being immortal, and Mortmain not to win. i'll be so depressed if Clare made this huge love triangle to just tear it apart by making both Will and Jem Silent Brothers. Also, was do upset with what happened between Will, Jem, and Tessa in the last book! I can't believe there wasn't a curse and that Tessa turned Will down because Jem and her are getting married.

I see her as the type to go back to her maiden name after her husband dies, so the child will have Henry's red hair and Charlotte's surname.

I think that Tessa is half angel/half shadowhunter. We know that half angel/half demon results in a fairy, but we're not sure what happens between half angel/half shadowhunter. That could possibly be the start of the angel blood that starts in the Herondale family line. Obviously, Will has to find someone he wants to have kids with, because that's how the Herondale family tree started. But really, I don't care what Tessa is, as long as she's with Will!!!

I've always sort of had this idea that Jem and Tessa would get married at the end of Clockwork Princess and she would stay with him until he died and everything, and then somehow Will would become immortal and there would be a glorious reunion between the two at the end of City of Heavenly Fire. Wishful thinking? Maybe. I just want everyone to be happy in the end.

something that i was thinking about after i read clockwork prince. if will and cicely are the last children with the herondale name that means that one of them must have a child in order for jace to be a herondale in TMI, but it cant be cicely becuase she's a girl and she would have to take her husbands last name wich would mean that if she were jace's great great grandmother then his last name would not be herondale, wich means that will has to be jace's great great grandfather.

You make great points! I think you're right about the wedding in New York, but I think they somehow got stranded there. Also, Charlotte and Henry - Charlotte's maiden name is Fairchild, Henry has red hair. Jocelyn Fairchild, red hair. And Jessamine - possibly 'wrong-done by', and then there's the obvious 'Will shoulder angel scar thing' theory. It never occurred to Jem and Jace were both playing instruments when they properly met the girls. I hope this doesn't mean Tessa ends up with Jem. DX
