je regarde le film bagdad café depuis mes 18 ans et j'en ai 39 ... jamais je n'ai vu de ma vie un film aussi poètique et doux à la fois traitant de l'amitié et des stéréotypes avec une tel maitrise et une si belle pudeur . Bravo pour la photographie des scenes , le choix des acteurs/trices , le décor (le café motel bagdad existe vraiment) et la b.o. est somptueuse une réussite totale et une légende du "cinéma du monde" . Bravo et Merci .

I had the chance to go to Bagdad Cafe during a trip to US. Very strange place . . .no living souls miles around... I was told that american people do not understand why European people want so much to go to that desert place. Seems that in US the film did not have as much success as in Europe.

J'adore cette musique et le film si méconnu hélas, il vaut le coup déjà pour l'histoire d'amour entre deux femmes, pour la musique sans égale mais pour la réalisation du film avec des filtres au niveau de la capture d'images qui rendent cette atmosphère si sensible et si magique. J'ai l'impression que c'est la chanson qui a rendu le film célèbre. Le cinéaste a évité ainsi un désastre commercial.

Il y a plusieurs reprises de cette chanson. la meilleure est celle de Jeff Buckley (dans son album Live at Sin-é)
