Firms don’t hire (or not) based on tax rates – nor on cash-on-hand, or even profit rates.

Firms hire (or not) based on expected revenues.

If consumers / other firms aren't buying their goods/services, & aren't expected to in the near future, they won't hire even if taxes drop to zero.

Of course Wynn wants lower taxes -- he keeps more $. But he's lying to say he'll "create jobs" if taxes are cut. He'll create jobs when people spend more in his casinos -- and not until then.

Eliminate the federal income tax imposed on individuals and it will clean up so many problems. Only ONE presidential candidate has stepped forward with this idea. Steve Wynn is absolutely correct on this. There have been tax policy initiatives in the past that have worked very well in job creation. Tax credits for new jobs, tax credits for new business equipment and infrastructure, accelerated depreciation and amortization for business property, which would have two salutary effects: (1) almost immediate job creation and (2) lower tax burden for small businesses which would have stimulated the economy on several levels.
