Can't remember when I got this excited about a phone. iPhone's are great but truly sick of the mindless iSheep. Really looking forward to getting one of these.
It's indeed an exciting bit of kit. I gather there's a rather 'wait and see' feeling towards this new partnership. I'd say this much, if the next generation of WP7 phones from Nokia embody this aesthetic , they will be pretty descent competitors.
So the reason this phone is considered good is because its windows? Im confused, I thought the actual hardware features of the phone matter more than the OS. This phone only has 512 megs of ram and a single core CPU. The screen doesn't run in Full HD, and the video is only 720P. Is it good because its windows? and whats more confusing is this isn't released yet? Its like an outdated low spec phone which hasn't come out yet. Please someone make me understand why this is a good phone.
@KyotoExports it uses faster 4g network for faster streaming of videos etc.. live titles that update at the home screen example if u want a NBA team to the titles and it updates on it, cheap price(99,99$), 1,4ghz processor, nokia drive(no need for different gps anymore), microsoft windows compability(upload music from computer no need for itunes or other, best outlook, leading 8mb carl zeiss lens HD camera, best vibrant colours on amoled screen, its super fast
@EKFiPod ah ok, so its good because it doesn't drain your battery, and only sticks to the basic simple features. But I figure with a phone that isn't released yet and is suppose to be Nokia's flagship phone, you would think they would have put more hardware into the phone or unique features. Idk, I guess I just want a phone thats unique and stands out, which is what most of my customers want when they purchase my Japanese phones..that and the most adv tech possible.
@KyotoExports The OS matters. It's what all your apps are talking to/running on top of. You don't need a dual core phone. I sort of want one just because yeah, it's dual core on a phone. Pretty cool. But it drains your battery, as does more RAM which needs a constant charge to keep it refreshed. So Nokia has opted for a good balance between performance and battery life. MS did a stellar job on WP7. It is very efficient and does not need need top hardware to run (unlike Android).
@Burtrola@Burtrola Hmmm I will have to get ahold of a Nokia then and test it out for myself. I figure more and more people are becoming dependant on faster processors to operate the ever increasing complexity of new apps / phone software. Im sure also this phone doesn't cost 500-600 dollars etc, so I can understand if its low priced and targeted at the price conscious consumer.
@KyotoExports Oh, and no phone has a 1080p screen. Some (iPhone 4) can capture full 1080p video but cannot display it. Tend to agree and would prefer 1080 over 720 for video, but don;t underestimate the lens quality in video shooting. Betting the Carl Zeis lens will make all the difference.
@eyfhsdksd That is completely untrue. There is a USB jack on the phone. It also links to Microsoft's cloud storage which is a great feature. Save to the cloud and access from any device. Kind of a no-brainer darling. (Android drools!)

@BurakkuYume No need, it's going to be on ATT starting March 18 for 45 Days then it will be released for Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. (Week of April 30th)
All I want is a great phone WP (like the 900) on my carrier.
Not to be on the outside looking in. Maybe Nokia can throw those of us not on, and not willing to switch to, AT&T a bone and give our carriers a great phone too.
I'm a Nokia fan. And yes, we can all talk about that how much is WP7 better than Android but why is it then (still) a lot less used OS than Android? And they had to go with AT&T, come on...
WHOOO! NOKIA! Jk, Nokia N8 is my baby <3 I would like to have an Lumia 900 but im not sure if theyre for sale in Finland yet? I cant afford it either ;/
