  • Full Speech: Daniel Hannan at CPAC 2012

Look up this speech and watch it. :D

  • Daniel Hannan is a great man I wish he would run for Office here in the US we could use more men like him to turn this wretched ship around. Look up Hannan's speech at CPAC this year if you wanna see a great speech.

  • Humanity always forgets that evil men and tyrants flourish when good men and women do nothing. Wouldn't it be something if Britain, who's history is fraught with tyranny and worldwide oppression, became Earth's greatest champion to defeat it?

  • Why don't we have politicians this eloquently well minded in America...?

  • @thekeithchannel because education in america sucks

  • @thekeithchannel We do they just don't get a lot of face time in the media. Look at Marco Rubio or Chris Cristie for examples in America.

  • I'm undecided on my position on the EU but it's nice to see a politician lay down some smack. Well in, son!

  • Can we have a lot more talk like this please

  • One problem with this great statement, unless you can swear in english, you won't know what FU stands for, and I doubt, that the EU will explain it.

  • @ColFeren look at 0:50, the guy behind Daniel Hannan is surprised, perhaps because he was translated the whole thing ; in which case the translators are quick-witted

  • so many dickheads, so few reasonable people

  • Verhofstadt is a lying piece of shit, one of the worst politicians ever in belgium.

  • Nice reference Hannan, nice reference.

  • Only Daniel Hannan can say FUCK YOU (FU) to the Eurocrats and look that classy.

  • What a great statesman!

  • So Daniel Hannan hates the EU but works in the EU

  • @darkastonvillafan Do you think it's hypocritical of someone to have an opposing voice yet still be a member of that most criminal of "parliaments"?Or are only cheerleaders permitted? What about your preferred form of government her majestys opposition, the truly appauling communist Labour Party, should they not"work"at Westminster because they don't agree with Cameron?Your absurd comment implies that in your opinion only left-leaning politicians are allowed to legitimately oppose.Hmm,fascist much?

  • @darkastonvillafan are you mentally challenged?

  • @VladBlok28 Why do you say that

  • @darkastonvillafan Because of your childish oversimplification. Hannan is a member of the european parliament representing some part of England, and he criticizes the European Union's politics, much like any opposition in any democratic parliament anywhere. I wouldn't expect anyone older than 12 to categorize that as hating the EU and working for it. Are you 12?

  • @darkastonvillafan I think you will find Nr Hannan, like UKIP, does NOT hate Europe, he simply hates the undemocratic way the EU is run and the way it is working to its own agenda of creating the nation of Europe and abolishing all the countries that make it up. Mr Hannan, UKIP, and a handful of other MEP's are the only ones giving any opposition to the EU overlords and have managed to stop some of the more extreme and damaging Euro laws being passed. Well done Mr Hannan & co.

  • well done i hope ron paul wins

  • britain is almost a muslim country, europe should distance itself from britain.

  • @subroto81

France, Germany, Belgium and more have a higher proportion of Muslim people.

  • @subroto81

nah the muslims will keep flooding your country and when britain gets shit we'll all move to yours

  • I am an American and I love this man.

  • @loom67 I'm British and i like Ron Paul.

  • Add to *scroll down* Favourites

  • Mr. Hannan, Lots of people are suggesting you leave the Tories and join UKIP. While I don't think that's a bad idea, it would be even better if you took over the Tories and then worked with UKIP on your common areas.

    David from the USA

  • Stunningly good and honest. Well done Mr Hannon!

  • Hannan, join UKIP. It is your destiny.

  • @dinosaurssayni No its not.

The most important point being; in a first past the post democracy, only the 2 major parties can win.

This is partly why the conservatives tried to change it to proportional representation.

  • @Elephantintheroom01 * Hannan *

  • Well done Mr H, that told them

  • cenk urygriur in the background

  • This guy just got my vote!

  • another packed out audience...

  • Brilliant turnover. Good one!

  • YES YES YES!!!!!! aT LAST......SOMEONE WHO WILL SHOOT FROM THE HIP AND SAY IT LIKE IT IS!!!!!!!

  • Great Speech!

  • Barroso and Verhofstadt disliked this.

  • Hannan For PM

  • @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1 Ill agree with that, its like the wildest nightmare of a dystopia is becomming more real each day

  • The entire EU just got metaphorically bitch slapped.

  • @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1

not really, neo-communism is communism-lite, all the left wing stuff without the totalitarianism, facism is complete totalitarianism, extremely right wing, big difference

  • Excellent Dan. Love the FU reference, totally over their heads!

  • Europe must unite against Iran!

  • @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1 Actually its plain old facism disguised as neo-communism

  • lols

  • I see what we have here Europe (France especially) We scratch your back you stick a Knife in ours.

  • The conspiracy deepens as demonstrated by the abject performance of EPL teams in the Cham

    ps League and Europa League...

  • Well said Dan!

  • "How's that working out for you by the way?"

Half the people in my office just fell of their chairs laughing.

  • Well done Britain, again you are battling the monster of dictatorship in Europe.

  • @EUrealitycheck1 @EUrealitycheck1 whilst i agree that both hannan and farage are doing alot to expose the eu, i have to remind people that britain most definitely has a fascist economic system and until we remove the fascists from power and install some real conservative capitalists we're gonna wake up one day to find that cameron has sold the nation out to these eurocrats completely. just in case anyone thinks im a disgruntled labour supporter, i have no faith in this two party dictatorship

  • F___ You brilliant LOL

  • ...It is quite interesting watching people who have no idea how to solve anything, try to pretend they are seriously working on solutions that could actually work. Do they actually believe their own b.s. - they can't possibly; can they? Do they entertain reality at all? Will any of these countries' economies grow? No. Will new and possibly hostile governments or revolutions go along with deals currently made? No. As Chinas economy begins to falter, how long will investors keep buying crap?vhvbh.

  • It's fascinating to me how easily the European citizens (with the exception of Britain) would accept the yoke of slavery upon themselves. But it's a moot point because this is all magical and wishful thinking by those eurocrats who consciously or subconsciously desperately want a way to keep power and have no consequences suffered. In the end (and faster than people think) the Euro will fall. Kudos to Cameron for getting off the sinking ship; that was a nice surprise....continued...

  • He's supporting what Cameron did in this matter....but in most things Cameron's a weak, wet, politically-correct suet-pudding of a man.

  • @Baskerville22 not this time though, so credit to him

  • How refreshing & cleansing it is to hear rationality and honesty speak.

  • How's that working out for you? BUUUURN!

  • @CandyFlipper1 snap!

  • This is one of his finest speeches .... he is utterly wasted in that parliament. I think the tory leadership are terrified of him getting into westminster. He would outclass everyone there.

  • @levenbrown i'd double that son! He and Farage wipe the ass with most politicians these days ...

  • @simpleasLiam hehe -- well said !

  • Bravo! This is Hannan's best address since March of 2010 when he quoted St. Matthew on the floor of the EU!

  • The people of Britain dont give a Tinkers cuss about the absurd pronouncements of the " gross legumes" of Brussels! Britain out of the EU now!

  • Hear, hear! Give it to them Dan.

  • This is destined to be one of the great, memorable micro-speeches Hannan has given in the Euro Parliament. What incredible clarity this man has! Well said!

  • LEAVE EU

    DONT LET EUROPE RULE BRITANNIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @steven8hamilton

The UK is already ruled by banks, but being taken over by the EU removes the possibility of fixing it's democracy.

  • Wow, I'm one of those bleedin heart liberal PC brigaders you dudes like to chat about but even I'm team Hannan on this. Well said sir.

  • "How's that working out for you by the way?" Dan Hannan epic smackdown. lol

  • Wow.....

  • As an American it's refreshing to hear someone in Europe, and no less in the EU itself, attacking the EU on their problems. As a trader, the only thing the markets have cared about this entire year has been the EU, a group that has overspent to an extent that makes even the US look better than the rest of the EU countries. The sooner the EU is disbanded (and that will start with the UK leaving) the sooner the world is off to a more stable stock market.

  • My favourite Tory.

  • Ring out, loud and clear.

  • I think this guy just became my new personal hero!

  • I thought it was the two minutes hate,,, love Dan, hope he gets some power to right the hypocracy.

(What Democracy turns into when all of the politicians in your country are liars.)

  • "... hows that working out for you by the way ..."

    lol

  • FU - LOL!

  • YES. Britain's real friends are other non-EU world leaders.

  • Great as usual. New definition of F.U. {;-D

  • What amazes me is how Mr H here manages to get his points across without blowing up in fully justified rage !

    Well done Dan.

    Alan Douglas

  • Fucking awesome. I love this guy

  • F-U! Love it! How appropriate! :)

  • Well that speech kicked ass. That was nothing short of inspirational, and I don't say that lightly. There is not much in this world and there are so few people that are inspirational anymore. Daniel Hannan is one of those people. Nigel Farage is another. I wish we had politicians that could articulate their passions this well in the U.S.

  • Excellent to see Dan standing up to the ghastly Guy Verhofstadt, This is the angriest I've seen Dan but his was the rage of a laser guided missile, rather than Farage's more nuclear but less precisely aimed vitriol.

  • God damn Daniel, You go man! He is one clued up son of a b..........

  • amazing!

  • today I read the Wall street journal asia. The non eurozone country who signed the pact want also a special treatment since they are not in the euro. Actually that is the point, why do those who are not in the euro had to agree to such a treaty? Denmark run a deficit, then what? His problem they can still print more money to monetarize their debt, they will pay the prize with inflation at home that is it. You see that their leader just did not had the courage to say no in front of the others.

  • The more I hear from the spiteful EU bureaucrats, the more I think that this small step taken by Cameron was the right thing for the United Kingdom.

  • politicaLAD

  • FU EU!

  • Probably the most eloquent bitchslap of all time.

  • @xbaronxoxbeefdipx agreed

  • @xbaronxoxbeefdipx seconded

  • F U

    Rofl

  • Has Hannan written any books ? They would probably sell well and improve the public discourse on at least two continents.

Also, I hope he has developed a good documentary film crew, because any documentary he produced and hosted would do well ... and a lot of good.

  • @ProNorden Yep he has, just search for Daniel Hannan on Amazon and you should see them.

  • Our better Universities should offer courses in 'How To Be More Like Daniel Hannan'. They'd be oversubscribed.

  • The Euro could have value in concept as a means of simplifying business travel withing the EU - On the other hand, folks used to use the US$ for much the same reason - why carry notes in 4 or 5 currencies to deal with an afternoon's drive through the Benelux area for example?

  • Mr Hannan , F U!

  • @mike520784

    Go away dude F U!

  • @Thatcheriteme Yep, if and when the EU/euro collapses, it will have been the fault of the Brits. I can see "them" convincing themselves of it already. Sheesh!

  • 0:25 "How's that working out for you by the way, gentlemen?" The leading question, methinks. Come in Jaques Delors ;-)

  • WOW!

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • Great speech

  • Just Brilliant! like always!

  • I can see this whole EU thing falling apart, and the Brits getting the blame for it. Politicians have a unique ability to ignite the tinderbox of resentment, that countries have toward one another. Some podgy grotesque Frenchman in the Parliament, has already started saying the UK rebate needs reviewing. Not mentioning the fact that the CAP takes up half the EU budget and heavily favors the French.

  • Keep up the good fight my brothers & sisters across the pond.

We are fighting a North American Union (NAU) over here, and only One Politician (Ron Paul) seem to care. If you guys break free, the end will be close at hand for the New Order Of The World. The Central Bankers will have to take LIBERTY out right, in order to succeed.

    -Best Regards from The US

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel The Anglo-sphere is under attack from all sides. Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Franco, Tito, Ceausescu, The Greek junta of the 60's & 70's, Lukashenko & EU technocrats. The track record for democracy on continental Europe is not good and I fear for it's survival once again. Britain has stood alone before against a European threat and we will again against this very stealthy and mercurial nemesis.

  • @EverywhereVirtually Not alone. You do have the support of the Americans. The UK is under no obligaiton, moral or otherwise, to pay for the mistakes all the other memeber nations of the EU.

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel fear not, big government inevitably fails, be nice if we could hurry that along a little :) and Ron Paul for President!!

  • @ahallidie yea, would be great, if we could hurry that along. =)

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel Theres one more solution they have up their sleve to this EU problem which I won't mention just in case they don't know about it.... but it would in the eyes of them and the un woken people be the perfect solution and would also be perfect for getting the UK to join the EU I really really hope this doesn't happen... Love how the NAU isn't widely talked about in your country when its such an important thing ???

  • @mattfm101 many folks over here are unaware of such "imaginary" things.

President Obama and Prime Minister Harper officially announced the union last Wednesday (Dec 07,2011) on Pearl Harbor's 70th Anniversary. CNN aired it during a Ron Paul segment no less, at 3:15pm Eastern time.

There were no news pieces on it after the announcement, on the tele or the daily newspaper the following day.

  • Brilliant Daniel. Absolutely brilliant. We must rid ourselves now of these scum. The Eurocrats should be swinging from lampposts.

  • Hardcore

  • Fantastic.

  • STANDING OVATION!

  • @PURELOVECREW oh I first thought you said Starving ovation.

Any way aint it great to at last see the real brits standing up to the NWO marxists, led at the front line by the great Nigel Farrage. Truth is much much more delectable than fiction; you just couldnt make up a daibolical plot like these bums have.

  • It's amazing how often these Tories argue about British Independence in Europe, but are blind to the arguments of Scottish Independence! A bunch of hypocrites!

  • LOL...0:26 "how's that working out for you by the way"..Dan you are the man.

    Spot on Matey!!

  • Great speech!

  • This has shown what a nasty dictatorshp the EU really is.Lets leave now.

  • Mr Hannan, feel free to relocate to Texas and run for office if things don't work out over there.

  • EU? FU!

  • In my opinion although Cameron has done a good think here I'm sure it wasn't for the right reasons....... I really hope the Europeon dictatorship does break up its not necessary and is costing the memebers millions a day to be involved in it, all we need are trade agreements and to prevent nutters running are countries and everything will be fine.

  • why isn't this man pm?

  • @enorjusten Because he doesn't lie. Get with the program.

  • Hannan should be Prime Minister

  • HA!

  • The EU and the FU, brilliant! Plenty of us in America love Daniel Hannan! You in the UK are lucky to have him!

  • @gbtrat If only we could have more of him, and if we could have him, others like him and Nigel Farage where we REALLY need them: cooking up a storm in Westminster. As it is, they are in Europe where they can't do any harm, where the BBC (our state broadcaster who have become incredibly pro-EU although I can't imagine why) and the Westminster politicians can ignore them while they give away powers and money and say everything's fine. When this thing collapses, the retribution's going to be awful.

  • @Cathsocpresident0607 I think this veto is a watershed moment though. Maybe I am wrong but it could bring down the government (Lib Dems must be furious) and if the UK had an election and the Tories won an outright majority that might be the impetus for Cameron to get out of the Maastricht Treaty altogether and revert back to the Treaty of Rome?

  • Lol The FU!

  • @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1 I see you didn't get the quote I used, or you would know that in the same speech, there is also the line "if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look in the mirror". I'm aware of this. But, we were fooled. Tricked. Never were we allowed to vote on the EU itself. I have learnt the lesson and I will vote only for a party that commits to ending our EU membership.

  • This has to be the Best clip ever from the European Parliament, well done to Dan Hannan, keep up the Great work!

  • "...how's that working out for you by the way, gentlemen?" - BURN. Nail on the head there, Dan.

  • hopefully we will soon leave the E.U and we can have Daniel back where he should be. As Prime Minister!

  • Must have been quite a beating the UK took before Daniel got to speak, he was visibly angry there, not something we usually see. But rest assured that many Europeans see what you see, feel as you feel and would seek as you seek. :)

  • FU! Is right!

  • Basically the rules seem to be that the UK has a veto but should we EVER use it, then hell hath no fury like a behemoth bankrupt dictatorship scorned.

  • DH is the man!
