When I first played guitar hero after owning rockband for a year, I hated it. The pedal was crappy and inpresice, the drums weren't very responsive. and the guitar buttons had a part inbetween that was really irritating. But after owing it for awhile I loved it.

I have Rock Band and I've played Guitar Hero. Both are fun but I prefer Rock Band. The Rock Band guitars feel much better in my hands, while the Guitar Hero ones seem to have a thicker neck and don't feel as comfortable. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.

GH3 is definitely the better single player experience. I've had most fun with that game more than any music game that came after it. All the songs were just so fun to play and working your up to finally beating the Dragonforce song was very rewarding. As for social gatherings, RB3 is definitely the better game.

To everyone saying that people should play real instruments and get a life, you need to look at things from a different perspective. Yea playing a real instrument is good and all that but not everyone can afford to play an instrument or some people might not be alloud for noise or room reasons. So this is where rock band and guitar hero come in. a fun game which is small not to loud and lets people experiene playing real instruments. BTW i play a real instrument and own guitar hero :)

actually, Dragonforce got real famous because of guitar hero, not the other way around. I agree that rock band had groundbreaking innovations with the drums and the singing, but guitar hero had bass too dude, so it wasn´t just guitar.

@naal13 Hey there, yes, nowdays, guitar hero have bass, but at first, it didn't if am not mistaken the bass came up on guitar hero till guitar hero 2 or 3, but am not sure, also another think that i don't like of guitar hero, is that for some reason i think that it has a larger range of tolerance between each note, i mean in rock band you can easily loose a note or notes if you get distracted a bid, but in guitar hero i feel like i can easily recover myself without missing notes, less fun xD

Guitar hero 3... the guitar is waaay better, songs are better, rock band looks horrible compared to guitar hero especially the note charts, Gh multiplayer superior for gametypes. Even with only guitar the game is more interesting, the hammer ons and pull offs in rock band arnt even clear nor do they work well... rock band may have more dlc but its crappy gameplay most definately makes that obsolete.
