  • If Ron Paul gets nominated by the GOP, he will get the votes of the Libertarian Party, Constitution Party, Independent voters, and some democrats backing him. If Romney gets nominated, he will not get the 3rd party votes nor the independent and democrat vote resulting in a second term for Obama. Think about it...

  • You make the exact point as well.

SO if you do allow homosexual marriage----you must also give way to those who request a legal standing on their and incestous polygamous relationships. Right?

I just want to point out that when you open the door for one, you open the door for all. It sets a precedence. (Fine, I won't include bestiality on this one since a cat or dog cannot make their own statements to marry.)

But incestuous, polygamous, and homosexual partners can consent to marriage.

  • @CristianoRomae1986 It's not okay to legislate morality in that manner. If we do, then we punish people and use violence against people despite the fact that they are acting in a way that is peaceful and non-violent. I don't like polygamy. I think it's immoral. But I don't have the right to force that view on other people using government. That wouldn't be very christian would it?

  • @intoxicated12gauge

Has nothing to do with Christian. Or Muslim or Jew.

It has to do with the fact that A CONSENTING ADULT can consent to marriage to INCEST and POLYGAMY by opening this HOMOSEXUAL "MARRIAGE".

Right? You want to open the doors, fine! I'll see you at the voting ballot, better yet the SUPREME COURT.

  • @CristianoRomae1986 I'm not at all making your point. You missed my first sentence. You can't legislate morality. I find all of those things (with the exception of gay marriage) to be immoral and disgusting. However, the use of government to force my morality upon two or more consenting adults 1. will never work, and 2. is, in itself, immoral. It's not the role of government to decide how people live their lives, as long as those people aren't violating other's rights.

  • Mitt Romney's father & grandfather lived in a settlement in Mexico that practiced polygamy --- it's not ancient history
