the moment i saw phaneuf take that puck from end to end then hold his own for a bit b4 passing it, i KNEW we were gonna score. he reminded me of sundin, just a big guy(maybe not quite as big lol) protecting that puck. he really looked like a captain. fun fact: phaneuf and i have the exact same birthday! day month year! no shit eh!

@SteveDangle I don't agree, that the second Pittsburgh goal Reimer should have had. When placed well a puck through the five hole while a goalie is entering a butterfly slide is VERY hard to stop! Good goal, but not a softie by any means.

The Leafs are the hottest they've been all season and they're still quite far away from the playoffs. Once Kessel and Reimer cool off the Leafs will fall out of contention.

Still next year is looking more promising than the Leafs teams of the last few years.

Phaneuf's run with the puck in OT for that goal...stuff I do on NHL 11....amazing tekkers. Yes they can... I bet you now that they beat the hawks and flyers...but lose to the islanders :P ha

I have to say that last play by Phaneuf had an almost Sundin feel to it. Just could not get the puck away from him until he wanted to pass it. Was definitely a very nice series of passing, all 4 guys getting their sticks on it before the puck goes in.

Reimer just making the saves they need in order to win. Probably could have had both those goals, but just shows that he can get even better. Let's keep the hope going.

It looked to me like in overtime when Phaneuf came accross the line with the puck the pens gave up They dropped all pressure on him allowing an awesome passing play leading to the goal.
