Technically the Nikon J1 is a Micro 4thirds camera i really love this camera the video quality kinda sucks as its interlaced but overall a great camera keep up the work and keep that flickr updated
I'm not a video / photography specialist but it looks like the video footage is interlaced (those horizontal lines when moving) Other than that the audio sound really clear & the video (colors and quality) look fantastic! From the review I read on that camera here tinyurl . com / 87mao3a It seems to happen when the video is shot at 60FPS

Buy a Nikon D7000, It's a DSLR from Nikon (obviously) and it has continuous Face detecting Auto Focus which would be great for you :)
