If br. Nauman would have quoted the hadiths of rasool Allah s.a.w. about Khilafah, the hadiths it self would have refuted br. Nauman personal opinion on the face of it.

This brother does not know that we have lots of amazing thinkers, experts, engineers, scientists, and other capable muslims who are still jailed in secular idea and many of them are employed by western countries. This is the challenge for the Islamic movements to wash the secular idea from those people's brain. We also learn from the fall of the USSR that the US attracted lots of expert people who used to work for the USSR to work for the US. Once power is gained, it is not difficult for that.
Before we can have a Khilafah we need to fix ourselves as an Ummah and turn to Allah while making an effort at the same time. Allah will only change our condition if we change what is in our hearts.

@chekdamize7 as a muslim I think we should respect his views. If he's talking about this subject, it shows his concern about the Khilafah. But as you attest, we could have different views. I don't see where in the video Bro Nouman actually says it's impossible to establish Khilafah, I think what he means is that we muslims must also prepare ourselves to uphold the khilafah by being not only a doctor, but a islamic doctor, an islamic teacher, etc.

I highly recommend brother Nouman reads the the manifestos from Hizb ut Tahrir. Not only do they have a complete economic blueprint for the Islamic State (a specific one for Pakistan too) they also have precise steps to how they will handle the social system, the foreign policy and judicial systems.
Resources, man power, funding, geopolitics - everything is taken into account.

I'm not sure, but is Br. Nouman advocating a separation of Islam and state in the same way that Christianity achieved a separation of church and state? If this is the case, I think it might not be a bad idea, since its clear that scientific advancement and great human achievement became possible as a result of keeping state and church separate.
@wyattwerp10 No.He is not advocating seperation of religion and state. He is merely stating that Muslim movements should rethink their strategy of how they revive Islam.
As for ur last point I suggest u consider the advancement in science,technology that occured under the Islamic civilization while Islamic law (Shariah) was being implemented.I also suggest u consider the role that Europeans influenced by Muslim Spain played in what is called the "Rennaisance".

Why is it simple enough for the muslims politicians in the muslim world to enforce kufur rules over the muslim population but its imposible to enforce the islamic system over a people who are a custom to those laws anyway? The issue of khilafah over the muslims is a fard & so its planning, preperation, and working for it is also a fard. Just like any other fard in islam. And we have many scholars, politicians, thinkers, enginers, etc that are more than capable of running the affairs of the ummah
I can assert that most of the homework for the mechanism of an Islamic State has been done in Pakistan, through Islamic Ideology Council which is an official think tank, Feral Shariat Court, The Scholars, Institute of Policy Studies, International Islamic University Islamabad etc..
