I hated that this translation called the white mage "Minh" seeing that there was space for his real name, "MingWu"

When you translate a game, you need to do more than just technically translate the script: you need to adapt it to the language, so that it sounds natural.

Minh was probably used because it sounds more English than MingWu.

I like how the World Map theme sounds wistful in this version - it fits the theme of "We lost our friend..." perfectly, and never changes through the whole game unless you're on a Chocobo. Hearing the original music is something I enjoy, as I like videogame music and I've heard the Advance versions, so hearing the originals is quite nice.

Also, the "PikaCHUUUUUU!" comment was so absurd that it worked perfectly for some odd reason. Guess I just like absurdity ^^.

It takes awhile in this version, which is why I'm not going to using very many spells. Still, I managed to avoid stopping for level grinding at all in my last run through, so I should be okay.

I'm probably going to show some in the next episode, since they get a little more interesting now. I just didn't want to waste time showing battles with almost purely vanilla enemies in the first few episodes.

However, this game does have a lot of vanilla enemies, so I'll probably not be showing as many random battles as in my previous LPs.
