@milhoan22 thats a pretty good time. Im a fresman and my pb is a 1:05 but your lookin in great shape for your goal. Just keep a fast recovery and kick and keep your pull close to your body.
Wow, i got a 58 in the 100 and the guy who won state got a 46:75 and broke the national record! hes the fastest high school back stroker in the country... then i went to the NCAA championships and his time would have gotten him 16th in the COLLEGE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS PRELIMS!!!!
@penguin2cute101 Cool, sorry, i did not notice the "to me"... If you swam this event many times, I can understand your personal may of seeing it! Good luck, and never abandon swimming... :-)
why doesnt he do the start where you throw your arms to the side instead of straight over? i do the start with the arms on the side... i havent done it in a meet because i started doing it before championships and i wasnt swimming backstroke :P but yeah i feel a lot better doing it and it reduces drag and stuff
When you are strong enough it doesn't make nearly as much of a difference as it does when you are weaker (weaker doesn't always equal worse in swimming of course).
I'm sure he has tried both ways and found that he prefers it when he throws his arms straight over his head rather than to the side, with little or no time difference.
i'm swimming the 100 back next weekend at state. i go 54. i won districts. and i'm a sophomore

To Me I Think The Backstroke And The Butterfly Are The Hardest
penguin2cute101 4 years ago 10
Those two are my favorite! : ) I think butterfly is the easiest! But that's just cause I've been swimming since I was 5 :)
swimmergirlbbff 4 years ago
even the best butterfly swimmers dont think its the easiest stroke...

Backstroke is easiest for me. My hardest are butterfly and freestyle.
SchwarzeWitwe2 4 years ago
@penguin2cute101 Backstroke is the second easier after freestyle. The most difficult is butterfly, then breastroke. Have you ever swum in your life?
DanoisBleu 11 months ago
@DanoisBleu have YOU ever swam in your life? you cant rank strokes by easiest to hardest because its based off opinion

@DanoisBleu hunny, I am a swimmer. It was a personal opinion. Did you not see "to me I think" <<may be horrible grammar but ohh well...Opinion!

blurry images and on the deck camera angle make this not great for viewing swim technique. You almost can't tell what's going on.
