  • I always think its sad when a bird has clipped wings. I know many people say you can't have a bird as a pet if you don't do this, but my argument back is maybe birds shouldn't be pets.

  • A one sproil bird I want one now.

  • ahha i thought it was only me that likes to pet my love bird on the neck part

  • she's so cute! what pretty colors! I have a lovebird too and he's very tame as well and also friends with one of my cats...the other will eat him so we keep him away when he's out

  • how does your cat and bird get along. I have had a cat for nearly 6 yrs now and I would love to get a pair or love birds but I don't know how the kitty will take to having this new addition to the family.

  • how do you tame a wild lovebird

  • did you like get him from the egg,and feed him thats why hes so nice and all??

  • so cute

  • Do you ever leave the lovebird and cat together unattended?

  • We do not. Even though they get a long really really well.. We do and will not ever.. lol.

Sorry for the long wait and thank you for the question!

  • how do you tame a wild love bird?

  • its hard to tame wild birds. its bettr to hand raise them so they will be affectonate twards you. wild caught birds are often depressed and distant towards their owners.

  • how do you tame a wild love bird?

  • That's difficult. Wild birds are not even close to being used to humans.. Its a long and strenuous training regiment.

Note me for more info and i can give you what you need..

NOTE: I do not support the capture of wild birds.

  • MY lovebird keeps makeing a chipmuck noise what dose that mean by the way its a boy

  • Sirgimppy's Wife here-

Do you live in an area that has chipmunks or squirrels in the trees and have the door/window open frequently? S/he may be copying the noise they hear. =3 It's not common for lovies, but yes, they can do it.

  • i am a new lovebird owner, he was rescused from a flag pole, he must have got out. i would like to know why he make a clicking noise and bobbs his head. i think he's happy but not sure.i let him out every night to fly, he does not like to be touched and bites.any suggestions on how to raise this bird to be happy and healthly...

  • He is being social, and may want to tear paper for his nesting.

  • what dose your cat think of the love bird???

  • one of the first time I've seen a cat that won't bother a bird

  • thank you mr gimppy pls keep her clean and ok , i have 2 birds too

  • Aww, Tiny's so cute. She's so sweet. XD I wanna get a lovebird now. It's really cool that you take care of her like that.

  • (no mean to stalk u, I am crazy for bird, I love bird, I hope I didn't scare you LOL) My lovebird (Tweety) I think he is a guy. It wasn't handfeed when I got him. It was very defensive and bite hard. It took me more than 4 years to tame him (he is kind of tame now) Still bites sometimes. He is a very nervous little bird.

  • That is very nice of you to take care of her! I just now (this afternoon!) purchased a blue Love Bird. This morning I woke up and decided I wanted a pet, I did some serious research and found that a Love Bird would be the pet for me. Her name is Lucy and she was not hand fed as a baby ... but she is under 3 months old and already sits on my hand!

  • Research in one day? Wait until she hits sexual maturity. You'll wish you did a hell of a lot more research than one day's worth.

  • Hrmm, yeah. I figured that out ... lets just say that even only a few days after having her she was sent back to the store.

  • hey your cat didn't eat your lovebird, lucky man(and bird)!

  • nah. they grew up together, the cat will give gentle pats at most, but will never attack her

  • that's sweet! My mom has 20 birds, thank God I don't live at home anymore, they were loud. Cute bird by the way, I've never seen a lovebird that sweet b-4!

  • i've got a downpayment on a lovebird, the breeder hand feeds them and everything like you did with her, i fell in love with a lovebird that he had but he was already soldd to a 5 year old girl. andd i decided i wanted one :-D annd i cannot wait to get him :D

  • good ^_^ you will be so happy with him/her

  • I'm gonna get a Lovebird xD

  • lol

i absolutly love that little kiss she gives to cat , it's such a adorable as

well as very uncommon sight XD

  • ^^

    How do you clip wings?

is it hard , like does she struggle at all?

  • you need to put a Tea towel of some sort over their heads so they cant see whats happening, or esle they will panic and struggle a LOT

and you must observe and clip enough of the first 5 feathers without snipping the bloodlines (which can been seen if you look hard) I recommend getting it done at a Vet or somthing and watch them closly and ask for pointers , thats what i did before i had enough confidence in myslef to try

  • Does she have any problems when flying ?

it doesn't show in this video

  • No she dosnt have an Problems at all ^_^

We do keep her wings clipped just enough so she can hover across the ground, but not gain hight

  • You have an extremely cute lovebird. Seriously. I love her.

  • my lovebird is a fierce little monster has been since day one. We tried working with her but she will have none of it. It is so nice to see such a loving bond between you and tiny she is adorable.

  • Tiny is not a store bought bird, we bred her from our older lovebirds which are gone now, but we have hand fed her before her eyes had even opened, which really helps a lot. she dosnt know fear of hands, cus our hands and face were the first thing she ever saw, not her true parents.
