I have one searyder 1994 90 hp but the engine dosent work (i get it that way from aprox $250) . I am planing to install a 60hp or 75hp outboard on it, what do you think?
I just bought a 1995 sea rayder with a 90 hp mercury and love it and paid $2,500 plus licensing. putting an outboard on a boat made for an inboard is like putting guitar strings on a violin - think about it. overhaul the engine it's only going to cost like $800 according to my local dealer. Of coarse if you're a RED NECK....
I am installing a 90 HP on mine. I will test float it sometime next week. How did you make your engine mount? I used galvanize pipes to weld together, and will galvanize the whole mount.
I havent did my engine mount, I have some pictures of a frind of mine that dit it, and it works fine. dont do a bracket cuz your going to change the point of balance, mount the engine directly to the end of the boat. where can I send you the pictures?
i had a 1994 regal..w/ 80hp mercury sportjet...it was a lemon....
