  • Sounds like a 4/5 port thunderbolt siren.

  • Sounds best on 240.

  • That sounds like a Hurricane on 240

  • Very nice, how did you set it up to be able to immediately switch from 120 to 240 like that? That's something I've been trying to figure out how to do with my Model 2's setup.

  • @murrfarms The siren normally runs everyday at noon on 120. To make it run on 240, I ran an extension cord from another power outlet that was on the other leg of the power panel. I reversed another extension cord (reversed polarity) and used a 3rd cord to bridge the 2. So it was plugged into 2 hots on 2 different cords, giving me the 240. Idk if that makes sense or not though =)

  • @WhiteFencesFL Aha, I was wondering if that was the case or not! That makes perfect sense to me, might try something along those lines with mine only using two different motor contactors (similar to a reversing setup on a three phase circuit), only having one utilizing two hots for 240, and the other having a hot and neutral for 120, and then install a SPDT toggle switch on the control circuit to switch between the two motor starters. Thanks man!

  • awesome video!

  • I have seen and heard a lot of sirens in my life, and I have to say this is by far one of the best videos I have ever seen. From the superb picture quality to the dynamic sounds, this was truly A+ material. Keep up the good work CrazySirenBoy!
