Hello again. The bread pudding was a BIG hit! I should have made 2 batches. Thank you for posting this easy to follow video. It really helped to see it step by step.
Hi! I'm making your recipe for my daughter-in-law's Easter brunch tomorrow. I have one question, do you let the pudding set out for the 2 hour soak time or do you put it in the fridge?
I enjoyed your video. I liked the way you explained in detail with quantities etc. However, I missed the amt. that you used for the heavy cream for the sauce. Sorry, I am a beginner and haven't learned to eyeball measurements, yet. Thanks! I can't wait to try this!
Oh that is okay.... I miss things all the time... so I decided to put the measurements in the description to help because I hate it when cooking videos do not put the ingredients in the description.
Loved the video. Classical music in the background, works beautifully.
I'm an aussie and the super market doesn't have Corn Syrup, oh btw when you say "stabilizer" I think you mean it's an emulsifier. Is there an alternative to corn syrup?
I have had bread pudding with cranberries in it and candied almonds sprinkled on top with whip cream on the side and caramel sauce :) I will try your recipe for sure but are there any breads I should avoid. tks.
Nope, you need a bread knife.... the serrations may help.
Hmmm... interesting... using a double-boiler method. Have you tried it without? Shouldn't be needed with a glass dish, but I'm interested in your experiences.
This is a wonderful bread pudding. The caramel sauce is fabulous. I had to use honey in the caramel sauce because I forgot the corn syrup, but it worked out fine. Thank you for this recipe.
"so freakin' good" Yes it is! Thanks for the recipe. I put raisins and sliced almonds in mine, and used evaporated milk and regular milk instead of half & half - a winner!
I just made this and it is every bit as good as it looks! Even my picky daughter loved it! You wouldn't have an old fashion rice pudding recipe would ya? Thanks for posting.
I can't wait to try this!! I read the comments so I will add the sugar and raisins. I hope it turns out as good as it looks on your video, thanks for the recipe!!
Im in the process of making this and I must say that it smells soo good. However, just thought that you should know that you didn't list one ingredient - 1 Cup Sugar. Im not the type to watch...I wrote down all the ingredients and luckily I watched it before I did anything.
I actually made this! Tasted really good, i love the hint of cinnamon in there!! Made a little twist, added some vanilla extract though, still tasted great. thanks for the recipe (:

Yes!
You can use milk that you buy in cans or tins.
Also, you can use regular fresh milk, but it will not taste as good.
Thank you for your question!

The heavy cream is 2/3 of a cup.
Most of my videos have the measurements in the description over on the right side of the video.
Thanks for your question!

what happens if you dont put it in a pan with hot water? does it turn out bad?
DeeperBlueX16 2 years ago
Thanks for your question.
No it won't turn out bad, it will cook more on the outside edges and not be a creamy in those areas underneath.
