I'm from India and i've been to plenty of funerals and never seen the so called "rudalis"or their vermillion erasing, bangle breaking antics. These rituals are performed probably in regressive patriarchal communities. The ad should have started with "In remote desert tribes of Rajasthan" instead of "In India". @preserverofislam now a days ti is not mandatory for married women to wear that red bindi on their forehead. i am talking about the urban places. and many girls wear bindis ( not the read one) as in india it is a part of the things girl do to look beautiful.
