Pack is standard nimh at present, works fine and battery is very strong from being worked very hard according to Paul & Bill. Car is fitted with MIMA. May be upgraded to Lifepo4 this year for slightly longer stage capability. I'm just the Lithium conversion consultant. Peter
I've been to a similar sort of track where I live in the states. Did you turn off your pack and just drive with the gas engine on this track or have you found a way to integrate the LiFePO4 in such a way as to not stress it too much with this sort of driving? I'd imagine it would get mighty hot doing this and you were using it.
I don't have a 1st gen Insight yet but this sure makes me want to get one even sooner. I'm enjoying your posts on InsightCentral especially recent PHEV and EV posts.
