If it runs.. sell the engine, the exhaust and all the plastics, and tank. They are probably worth more than you paid for the bike. The VF500 was pretty rare in the USA. BTW I owned one of these for a while, it was very fun and pretty damd fast for a 500cc bike. Ran 0-60 in about 5 sec, and 1/4 miles in about 12sec. and still got 50MPG They are not really light, But the engine is a lot of the weight, you wont need the fuel tank, or any of the driveline. there is a pretty large space in there.

I bought one of these brand new. I loved it. It was a bullet proof ride.
I took it all over the country. Some trips of well over 1500 miles at a time.
It's really well balanced and has a great motor.
It was stolen in CA.
I've heard they make really good conversions for EV.
