Even though Chanukah celebrates the Jewish victory over their oppressors, invoking the sad memories of the Holocaust is not time-appropriate for Chanukah, a happy time.
oh no. far from being sarcastic, both comments are thumbs-up. both are food for thought and are staying put. it was not our intent to offend by using the holocaust footage...both our dads served in WWII, and it was a combination tribute to the survivors for what they had endured, and a thank you to all the troops, as well as a reminder that miracles can and do happen even when it seems that all hope is lost. we'll try to do better for purim ;-)

As long as we're all on the same page... good. I hope though by "trying to do better for Purim" you don't mean a similar thing...
