Bill White got re elected with 86% and 91% as Mayor of Houston. Rick Perry couldn't even get 40% of Texans to vote for him in the last election. I think that says a lot about who's a terrible candidate and who isn't.

Businessman or not, being heard on issues prior to any debate gives the opponent time to build a defense.
