Neil's act wouldn't work without heckling but it's deliberate heckling, within moments you know when to heckle and when not to. His act is based on that dynamic, but there's a difference between participating in that and talking over the bits he needs your quiet for. I saw him live and people just... knew.. it was immense. Part of a music festival and the favorite part for several of the acts playing.

Having said that, he is by far the best entertainer at dealing with hecklers I have EVER seen. Partially because he gets so much practice. A couple weeks after this show I witnessed him work a cheering and booing crowd of 2 thousand people. They were yelling stuff but as soon as he opened his mouth for another gem they shut up. He had them eating out of his hand. Truly inspirational.

I opened for Neil this night and although his act may invite hecklers if you think he likes it you're insane. He has material and timing like every other comic. The challenge is that when he started out it was "Bad" jokes but his act has evolved so much past that. A bunch of his albums have strategical placed heckles but that doesn't mean he loves it when drunk idiots won't stop screaming over his delivery

Fact remains though the correct spelling is 'tyre'. Just like 'tonight' for example.
