  • the middle section was really nice!!

  • hey good job!

you know, people often say how easy this piece is, but it's a deceptively difficult piece. it looks easy but when you try to play accurately at a good tempo, it becomes surprisingly difficult. however, you seemed to have this down pretty well. it's mostly very smooth and beautiful, especially your middle section, although i personally prefer slightly more rubato. again, the notes are very clear. especially the grace note figures at the beginning and the recap. pleasure hearing you

  • Hey, you got great things going on here!! I love rachmaninoffs long russian melodies but I haven't gotten around to uploading pieces of his :( I kno this was about 2 1/2 years ago, but are you a piano performance major now? But really this was just great! I make little mistakes all the time during live performances...its all part of improving and learning!

  • Thank you, that's very kind of you. Most of my videos are from about 2 years ago or so, so it's been awhile. I am actually majoring in church music, which is a normal music degree with some extra classes. Thank you for your encouragement - it is greatly appreciated. :-)

  • Thank you - that is very kind of you :-)

  • Rachmaninoff is certainly my first choice in preferred composers. You play his piece very well. I am guessing he is thanking you right now for continuing his work as well as he intended. You deserve compliments on all the work I have seen you perform. You are a beautiful person on the inside. I can see that already. Good work.

  • great job!!! really...i played this at the beginning of the year for a concert, and i think you did well on it. the only thing I'd point out is the 'definition of characters.' this piece was a 'punch and judy' kinda piece and the differential-ness (if that's even a word) needs more definition--contradictory, i know, but i don't know how to word it better. anyway you were really good!!! :)

  • Thanks for the comments and advice - it's been a while since I've actually played this, so I would need to refresh my memory to really understand and contemplate what you are saying, but I pretty much know - thanks! :-)

  • Thanks for the support and the advice! It's much appreciated. :-)

  • you play beautifully. and bring me lots of happy memories, thank you.

  • Glad to hear it! Thanks for telling me! :-)

  • wow! i really love this piece. i played it myself at carnegie hall last may, and again for a competition, and i'm playing it again (not that i want to really). one thing i would like to point out is when you go up around measure 26 (depends on ur copy) try and make it more smooth, and not so blotchy and poom poom poom as my teacher would say. other wise is pretty good! best of luck with this piece! <3 gi p.s. how old are you?

  • Nice. It's really well played. Although in my opinion it could bo more sparkling at first half. Are you conservatory student?

  • Whoa! Very beautiful, inspiring playing! One thing that i really like about the way you played was that it was clean. A lot of the other people who played, played very fast...the notes sort of blurred together and you couldn't hear how truely amazing this song is. If you know what i mean. Haha, but wow! i love the way you play! You are such a talented beautiful girl! Keep up the GREAT work! =)

  • Thank you so much - that is really kind of you :-)

  • Yep! I love all of your playing...you're such a huge inspiration to me. =)

  • very good. however work on playing with more expression. but yet again very outstanding work.keep it up!

  • Thank you :-)

  • AMAZING, are you a music major? 5/5 I enjoyed this alot, hope to see more from you in the future.

  • Your tempo can be more flexible throughout, if you want. You can definitely use more rubato in the middle section, if you choose. That would play up the contrast between it and the rest. Good job!

  • Thank You! Best Wishes!

  • i particularly like the way you played the middle section, very fluid

  • Thank you! That's what I was trying to go for.
