everything they have done is great in it's own way. it doesn't all sound the same but for me, everything is great, well thought out, a lot of time put into it so it sounds great and everything does. I liked the heavier stuff when I was younger, 10 or so. Later, I got into everything.

I am a huge Layne Staley and Alice In Chains fan, but Layne is one of Staind's worst songs. I don't hate it but by Staind standards it is one of their most pooley written songs.

yea im doing a speech on layne staley for my speech class and i was reading about stuff after he died and only like three people did a tribute song which sucks because he was a great person and a great insperation...its like people expected it so it wasnt much of a shock when he did die and that sucks...rip layne

omg what...that is such a good song and it has so much meaning...layne is one of their best songs...how could you not like it...it sounds good and it has so much meaning to it...layne staley was a great man and was a big influence on aaron and myself and so many more people...

thats good that it has meaning, but to me thats not what makes a song good. yeah, the lyrics are deep and meaningful and all that, but i think its just the chorus that just doesnt do it for me.. that whole "your name was layne" just kinda sounds cheesy

@Chapter1Tormented Yeah no thanks; I have every one of their cds (hard copy, not digital, including Tormented) and I buy every one of them on the day that they come out....the limited edition came out 3 months after the standard edition. I support bands, unlike 90% of people today, but I don't throw down an extra $10-$15 for 2 songs (novacaine/let it out). Besides, if you're so high-and-mighty and bought the cd, why are you on here giving me shit for something i said 3 years ago?
