Thank you for this incredible tune. It makes me feel the spirit of having grandchildren & how wonderfull it is. I am going to learn this song & play it for them. You do such an excellent job at playing it & also with your instruction. You make learning this piece very understandable with your tutorials. I found you on Vanderbilly & I'm very glad I did. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. All the best to you.
your kind words are greatly appreciated and i hope you enjoy playing this tune for your family and yourself!! Let me know if i can help in any way - keep pickin!
Such a nice tune with wonderfull melodies...do you happen to have a tab of the song cause i'm very well interested in learning how to play this lovely song. Btw great playing ^_^.
whats up man.. i been watching your videos all week and i gotta say im learning stuff ive never thought to even try to learn. im 27, self taught since 21 (picking up the guitar, my quarter-life crisis i guess). my only lessons have been from youtube videos over the past few years and i think you're the most easy-to-learn from poster out there.
and then i find this freakin video. thanx! my fingers are gonna be sore for the next few months learnin this.
hello and thanks for the kind post and sharing your music with me. I wish you all the best and please use me in any way i could help. I have a lesson for this tune - all the best with your music,
1 week later..wow, i underestimated myself. i got the A section down pat, maybe 10-12 hours or so total. this is easily the hardest thing ive tried to learn, especially without tabs, and its coming so smoothly.
again, i appreciate the lessons and ill keep you updated. i got an expensive iphone and im pretty sure i can take a vid and send it directly to youtube. maybe ill try that when im all done learning and after i run through it 1000 times!
hey Mike, this is great to hear! I hope you enjoy playing it just like i have and i never tire of this great tune. I'll be looking for that video!! Keep up the great pickin, your friend,
I just found your site and I'm so glad I did, you're an inspiration! This is a hauntingly beautiful melody. I'm 57 yrs old and generally play pre-war blues but I'd love to learn this for my grandson. Is there any way to get a tab of this Dale?
I dido Pascal's words. I really like the tone of that Collings C-10. Yeah, that's a sweet sounding guitar. Love the setting too. :-) Well done Dale! 5*! -Derek
This is a great tune and you do it justice. I went to one of Pat's workshops in Ohio a couple years ago where he played this song. I've been working on it ever since, but having a tough time (especially with the thumb). Glad to see someone else mastering it!
Thanks so much Jim! I sure appreciate you watching - great to hear from KY fingerpicking fans, PK is just terrific! Hope your do great these days, please keep in touch, dale.
This song sound outstanding. If you dont mind i would like to suggest Rural Life by Pat Kirtley. As you are obviously familiar with Mr. Kirtley's work I thought you might enjoy the song. If you already know it we would love to hear it from you. I cant get enough of your music Dale, thanks.
This is a great tune - I love Kirtley's music. I will give Rural Life a listen and I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks so much for watching my vidoes - thanks for your kind feedback! dale

Mostly acoustic, but I record alot with my Godin electric nylon. You can click on my name, it'll take you to my vids here. I love Jerry, Chet, Tommy Emmanuel and Pat Kirtley!
