My take:...just like the incred. string band is all but forgotten, so will that terrible green day band be forgotten 20 yrs from now....we were all throwing chunks of turf at them during the woodstock 94 show.......god they were THEE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN in my 40 years of rock concerts!!!!
Last anyone heard from her was in 1990. She wrote a letter to her sister from her Scotland and no one has heard from her since. It is believed she dissapeared because she was down on her luck and didn't want anyone she knew to see the state she was in. Robin Williamson recently said that he believes Licorice is dead, which is likely since there has not been any trace of her since.
I used to live next door to this woman in Wales Uk,she was still there in 2000.We knew she had been in the ISB,my wife tried to talk to her,but she didn`t want to know. She had a posh English accent.
[I just tried to post this but it didn't "take". Hope 2nd time works & that the 2 comments don't BOTH show up]: 1) I DON'T support ScientoLG @ all, btw. 2) When talking w/Mike Heron a few yrs ago he told me Likky (this's how MH spells it) went off radar a while ago but it had nothing to do w/ScientoLG. "We left THAT stuff long ago" he said; "far more recently Likky returned to her Catholic Faith & was so happy". There's more, but she doesn't want any bother. I bet MH visited her when back in UK.
Licorice McKechnie didn't disappear at Woodstock, she was still recording with the ISB in the early 70s and also appeared on at least one of Robin Williamson's solo albums. This is the first I've ever heard her disappearance related to Scientology, although I knew the band were involved (for varying periods - believe RW is still at it, though Mike Heron lost interest early on). Interesting theory though.
its kind of sad and creepy that chanology is trying to use a missing person (who seems like she doesnt want to be found, and was definitely alive up to the 90s atleast) for their agenda. scientology and 4chan are both really creepy, congrats
I'm not from 4chan, and her friend (or whoever he was) came over to us to tell us about her and put the message out there. She might not want to be found but her friends and family miss her regardless.
@thoraxo If she left all her family and doesn't want to be found tough shit, karma will catch up with her for being so selfish and obnoxious, and if she wants to be found, good! What's really sad here is that idiots like you are allowed on the internet to spread your stupidity.
She disappeared in 1990 after wandering into the desert by herself, apparently with no food or water. There is, alas, little hope that she is still with us. I sincerely hope that she is happy wherever her soul may be. She was a very special and lovely woman with the voice of an angel!
I've posted this many times, Licorice was a good friend of mine in the 1980s. She did not wander off in the desert with no food or water lol. God this story keeps growing. She just didn't like her life in LA which was not musical, she was not able to support herself with music and was selling stuff in office buildings. She hated it and needed to get out, and away from it all. She used to play Robin's old hand painted guitar at parties at her place in the Hollywood Hills, and sing. Loved her.
Is she in touch with anyone? I regularly correspond with people who know Mike, Robin, Rose, Malcolm and even Joe Boyd through an ISB group and no-one seems to have any info contrary to the story of her disappearance. I certainly hope she's still out there and happy.
This is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Scientology wanting to keep her information off the internet? There is no such thing as "Scientology" wanting anything first of all. That's like saying "Buddhism" wants her name off the internet. There's no person named "Buddhism" that wants things. Plus, why would people in Scientology care? You people will believe anything, its pathetic.
In most cases, yes, your argument here is a valid. HOWEVER, there are definitely cases in which this is not true.
For example, if the Pope of the Roman Catholic church were to ban a book isn't that rather similar to Catholicism banning such a book?
Scientology especially is suspect to this effect because the management within the organization tends to be less religious and more business. You see, the entire religion IS the management.
I believe my lifetime experience with Scientology would qualify me as a person with extensive first hand knowledge of what it is and is not. You are way off the mark my friend. You have no idea what it takes to launch a major religion in today's world, the amount of organization and wisdom in administering a major movement successfully is staggering, and management is pulling it off to put it mildly. The basic pattern of all the organizations - the "Org Board" - IS part of the religion.
While it is certainly true that any religion is dependent on a central management, Scientology's management looks to me like it's fundamentally flawed. EX: The fair game policy is both illegal and impractical. While some may argue that such it is part of the religion, we have to draw a line between religion and legality. If some satanist cult were to murder it's members and claim that it's "part of the religion," would you be accepting of that?
I understand that you are not against the religion of Scientology, but a point I would like to make is this religion is expanding very quickly and is run extremely well. The CofS has one of the highest credit ratings in the US, Int Management is so competent that at this point Scientology is unstoppable. Of course its 100% legal and your parallel with murder and a cult is just plain stupid. Why in the hell would I be involved in such a thing as that? You are missing some facts my friend.
As a final word, I would please like to make it very, very, very clear that I am not against your RELIGION (space opera, thetans, auditing) so much as the implementation and management of them. I am a firm believer in freedom of religion.
Actually what I wonder is why some people are so gullible that they believe anything without first hand knowledge. You know there's monsters in the ocean too, better not try to cross, you might get eaten!!

@TOERAG54 The lady you lived next to was in fact the other woman in ISB, Rose Simpson.
Licorice has lived in the US since c. 1977.

Licorice MacChechnie went full troppo and hooked up with some free range negroes.
By this time, it can at least be assumed that she's parted company with yet more of her rotten teeth.

First off, I would like to thank you for being civil and polite. Scientologists and Anons seem to fail at this. A lot.
This is true - Today's environment requires a whole lot of management and organization in order to keep a religion working.
To be clear, however, Anonymous is not against your RELIGION so much as the management within it.
For example, we are okay with your belief of thetans, etc. we are NOT okay with govt infiltration, Miscavigie's bullying, Lisa McPherson, etc
