IMHO a very underated song that should've done better than number 70 in the UK charts way back in 1984. Faired slightly better in Ireland (reaching number 29) My best song off "Junk Culture"

absolutely try to find the extended version,it is twice as long with the instrumental dramatic chorus even more intense, it is brilliant! And i agree the lyrics capture a feeling,that's why they sound abstract like "Souvenir" or even "(Forever)Live & Die" that are written from Paul Humphreys.Fantastic!

I always thought this song was the acme of the Electric Pop period. I think it did so poorly in the ratings because nobody can figure out what the heck the lyrics mean. But the lyrics are not literal, they are impressionistic. They stimulate a feeling without meaning, which is the essence of the whole song: Your mind loses it's standing on terra firma and the gale force of the cascading rif of the bridge blows you away like a leaf in the wind.
