Well a way to get money, instead of pissing of your user by putting ads before videos, they could just bring in TV shows and put ads in between them like regular TV.

They could do the same thing with movies and just put ads at the beginning.

There going to keep on messing shit up here until another site comes and steals a large majority of the community away from youtube. People are getting sick of these ads forced on us before every video. It will be just like how Facebook killed Myspace, MS was out long before FB was, look who's on top. MS is dead now, youtube's heading down the same dangerous path myspace did.

@TheAmericanUhate Dunno why people are so pissed about adds lots of other video sites also have adds, and they aren't spectacularly long or anything. Youtube does need to make money, because of the insane amounts of data it needs to send and transmit, as well as receive. Something like 24 hours of video gets uploaded to YouTube every minute. I couldn't begin to imagine the tech they must have setup to hold all the videos and be able to let people watch them.

To mention a couple, never going to buy PlayStation Move, multi-grain cheerios or use some stupid best buy tech service. EVER. Purely because of their stupid adds. All the other ads can just be blocked by an addblocker though

@maxmanrules I agree with you about that man. There is new in-video ads that has the option to close/skip the ad instead of it being forced onto you. With my connection being sub-par I was having a lot of problems with these ads so I did get the adblock plus ad on and will never go back. I love it, I was on youtube back when it was first starting on my old account, before any ads or anything and just miss the old days. I agree about avoiding products for ad reasons, no toyota's for me lol.

I got a nifty bit of javascript code in my bookmarks, so when I use it, a little spaceship like the old arcade asteroids game appears and you can drive it around and destroy content on a page. It's fun to blow up adds with it :P Unless you miss and hit Hank Green in the face.
