  • There have been earthquakes in NJ before they just haven't been as bad. You couldn't feel them before. Just stand in a doorway or go under a table and tuck your head under your arms. My parents not only had the earthquake but their backyard turned into waterfront property from the hurricane. I miss NJ but it's cheaper to live in the midwest. The apartment we have goes for almost 2000 bucks in NJ. We only pay 745.

  • great video, how is the puppy? what did you end up calling him?

  • I have an actual phobia of earthquakes and the last one we had (I'm on the Madrid fault line) I didn't sleep or go into any building except my own house for 3 days straight! Eek!

  • Live next door to you and have not noticed it because earthquakes are really no big deal....

  • I love how people from other states think earthquakes are so terrible. In California we'll just randomly feel one and they're normal so if you ask someone if they felt it the next day they could n

  • I laughed so hard when you blamed it on the dog.

  • Omg I use too live in california and I exprience something like that....

  • Center pa. I was sitting in my office chair that is on WHEELS. it was interesting. My first earth quake.

  • WOW you live in NJ?! me too lol an earthquake and hurricane all in one week!!!

  • I thought it was a bomb at first to tell you the truth.

  • Felt it in NYC.

  • felt it in toronto! lol. :)

  • yeah i live in montreal, quebec and i felt it! i mean not alot, but still, it was there....

  • I was in the car with my bf and we were sitting in a parking lot getting ready to go home, and the car started rocking. He blames me thinking im rocking the car and I kept saying " It isnt me"lol :)

  • Same here in Pennsylvania!

    :o

  • I live in NC and I had an Earthquake too.I thought it was the washing machine! lol Yeah,it shook the house but we didn't get any damage! (:

  • stay safe hun

  • The Northeast lacks severe weather? Blizzards aren't severe? Power knocked out for days for days at a time cuz of snow storms...not extreme? Hot, hot summers and freezing winters with snow? No, we def don't get earthquakes, and anyone who has never been through one would react like a lot of us did. Let's just be fair. Let's see how Los Angeles feels about 4 feet of snow keeping them from opening their front doors.

  • I was just confused!

But now everyone from the Northeast can be like "yeah I survived an earthquake once." ...this reguion lacks severe weather.

Hope you're okay during our hurricane. I'm sure it'll be like every other "severe weather" situation in Jersey...just a big storm.

  • I'm glad that you and your family are OK :)
