Hip Hop is about lyrics and then the beat. I was raised on old school hip hop and I know this to be a fact lyrics and then beats. You have rappers today who say I am not a rapper but a trapper and that is only some of what is wrong with hip hop. Hip Hop is supposed to be an art form anything less is not hip hop. The elements of hip hop are MC, DJ, Dress Style, Graffiti, Dancing or Break Dancing. Hip Hop now is done better in other countries who have studied our old school ways.
