So says the dumb ass kobe homer who can't explain that after 15 seasons, why he doesn't have 1 of the All Time Top 20 seasons, and only has 3 that rank in the All Time Top 100, with 2 of 'em ranking in the BOTTOM HALF of that 100 LOL!!
While kobe's spent his career puttin' up some of the WORST finals #s in HISTORY, Clyde was busy puttin up 25/7/8 on 48.2 FG% going into the finals vs the Bulls (LBJ type #s), yet idiots like U keep trying to sell some abstract, opinionated garbage of kobe being SO MUCH more "skilled" than anyone else..GTFOH!!
Clyde was a better rebounder, shot blocker, bigger, stronger, faster & certainly more athletic than kobe, and for 4 straight years in his prime, shot 50%, something Kobe's NEVER done!
"You're trying to convince us Gary Payton is better than Kobe Bryant?"
No dumb ass, I'm saying that MANY of the perimeter players in MJ's era were MORE than capable of givin' kobe th business, especially if they were still playing under the old rules, which were a NIGHTMARE for kobe, because he HATES physical contact, which is WHY U see him jackin' up SO MANY long range (bad) shots vs the better defensive teams.

Joe Johnson said it best:

And when it came to head to head match-ups, Mitch ALWAYS got the better of kobe!!
In fact dumb ass, he OUTSCORED kobe 199 to 72 in career matchups.. The '00 seasons is the last time they faced off, and Mitch outscored him 32-7, with kobe fouling out trying to check him LOL!!
And U wanna claim kobe's "vastly superior" to Drexler? GTFOH LOL!! He was bigger, stronger, faster & certainly more athletic than kobe, and for 4 straight yrs in his prime, shot 50%, something kobe's NEVER done!

@blackadam06 no man, i never saw that era live, but i've watched it in our dearest youtube and other tapes! games, and games! from the most well known teams to the less known, as a fan of the game, and i still think that today ball is the fastest paced ever seen! and i can tell you something, i am less biased than you old fans, because i can see and respect both "eras" and i can say where one exceded the other yet i insist on what i said, prove me wrong with facts (a video or smth) not swearing

The 8-second rule has SPED UP the game; the defensive 3-second rule has OPENED UP the paint & created more freedom of movement & perimeter defense has basically been handcuffed...
That's the excuse that ALL of U kobe homers use when trying to discredit MJ's obvious offensive superiority. No kid, MJ just made their defense look silly, as he pretty much did to every team throughout his career.
Whenever U make comments like: "players were slower" vs today's players without actually having seen them play, and then on top of it, being TOTALLY ignorant of all the new rules changes that have taken place, and what their intent was, that's what U call having NO PERSPECTIVE on the game.
And whenever disregard this, and make that claim, you're taking things OUT OF CONTEXT to suit your own argument.
Too many of U kids here on YouTube do this ALL THE TIME..
"Kobe is vastly superior to ANY contemporary of Jordan's at his position"
Oh really?
B4 the defensive rules were ADMITTEDLY changed to FAVOR wing players, only 3 of 'em were in the Top 10 in scoring. After the change, 11 wing players made up the Top scoring list, and they had a 23% INCREASE in scoring & a 4% INCREASE in FG%..
So where were all of these superior wing players B4 this occurred? NOWHERE!!
Gary Payton's 3 BEST scoring seasons were in THIS ERA, so please..spare me!
* what's the difference, aside from Ginobili playing under EASIER rules?
Drexler > D-Wade
* he was a better rebounder, shot blocker, bigger, stronger, just as fast & quick, jumped higher & hung in the air longer than Wade, and he shot 50% for 4 straight seasons, something Wade's NEVER done.
Penny Hardaway = T-Mac
Dominique = V.C.
Reggie Miller = Ray Allen
Mitch Richmond = Paul Pierce
And U can keep A.I.'s inefficient ass, give me Magic or Isiah all day..
@SamuraiSwoosh very valid but also keep in mind what a 38-40 year old mj did to guys like , Artest, Battier, Pierce, Tmac, KG, Richard Jefferson, Shawn Marion, and what MJ did to guys like Kobe and Ray allen when he was 35 and no longer in his prime.
@SamuraiSwoosh dont get me wrong i am totally aware of that. But what a lot of these kids dont take into account is consistency. Kobe is no where near as consistent as MJ was.
@samuraiswoosh oh i totally understand about him not being the number 1 option. but what a lot of kids dont understand when speaking in context of being the GOAT, consistency is also a major factor. Kobe is no where near as consistent as mj, case in point in mj's last 6 full seasons with the bulls he had 94 games of below 40% shooring on a min of 12 fgas, kobe in the same criteria has 165 games. huge difference
so what i've learned from you biased as fuck Jordan fans, is that every team Kobe scores a lot on sucks, and when Jordan decides to show off offensively like Kobe does, it's not ballhogging. Kobe scores more than one of Jordan's records? = ballhog. Kobe scores a lot of points = The team must play 0 defense. You guys are fucking retarded. Jordan is the greatest player because he changed the game, but Kobe has surpassed him and keeps going. Open your fucking eyes. Better players come along.
@Indianbrkdncer no moron its called fact. kobe has 24 games where he scored 50 or more and 15 of them were against below.500 teams, of MJ's 31 games of 50 or more 23 of them were against above .500 teams. And 19 of kobe's games came after the rule changes for perimeter players
"when Jordan shows off offensively like Kobe, it's not ballhogging"
No..check his FG%'s & assists #s in those games.
"Kobe scores a lot = The team must play 0 defense"
Well since he's NEVER scored 50+ vs the #1-2 ranked 'D at ANY point in his career, and has 24 career 50+ pt games where 15 of 'em (7 with less than 30 wins) were against sub .500 teams & 19 of 'em came AFTER the rules changed, I'd say that's OFTEN the case LOL!!
@actoman1 well lets see you cant hand check anymore. There is no more illegal defense call. You can play zone now. All the hard fouls MJ took from Detroit and New York would be suspensions now days so thats why there are no rivalries and everyone just gives up the layup instead of making someone pay when they drive to the hoop. I think you need to reconsider your idiotic thoughts
@actoman1 and there was no defense on kobe when he scored the 81 or when he scored his 61 against the knicks, and funny enough Kobe always seems to save his best games against the worse teams
this shows just how disenchanted MJ had become with the game by the 93 season and why he subsequently retired after the year. He really had to try hard to find challenges until the playoffs came around.
the crowd loves it when Michael does anything, even touch the ball. hes the single most exciting man in sports entertainment history except for maybe Muhammad Ali. the crowd and people love him,his charisma is amazing. Kobe doesn't have it, Lebron does.
i agree with timjr5000 Kobe is still miles away mainly because Jordan had that burning desire for winning. as Jordan said in his Hall of Fame speech there is no "i" in team but there's a "i" in win
MJ was the wrong person to get on the bad side of, cause he was such a competitor the next time he played you or your team he was gonna embarrass you.
Kobe's not a fag dummy. He's been playing consistently well for years now. Granted Jordan still is the best ever and talking trash to Jordan is just asking for a beat down.
this is just an example of what jordan could do to a shit team....if he wanted too. he had 36 points on command....like it was nothing in a half. jordan could of shot 47 times against this teams and scored 100 points if he wanted too....but jordan isn't a bitch like that faggot kobe. jordan could score on anyone he doesn't need to wait to play a bad team who can't defend him
Its not like the bullets were a shit team come on its the playoffs no matter who you play shit or not they're still one of the top 8 teams in that division. But that being said MJ is MJ, if you read the commentary at beginning in the first quarter "MJ 17 points and the Bullets 12 points in this first quarter". That's just the way it was he dismantled teams. If it was personal he'd take over usually at the beginning or the end, then just rest and let his team do their thing.
He was a lawyer in washington who sat there every game known as the heckler. I thinker his name was robin ficler. He used to ride teams so hard they would move to the court during time outs. He even got doused with a bucket of water a few times.
yeah, his name was Fricker or Ficker? Something close like that. When the "Jordan Rules" book came out, he was reciting passages of that book to Michael when he was on the bench, and Michael would put his towel over his head to hide it became so funny.
That's what made MJ the Man. He could have easily gone out for 60+ or even more before the 3rd always left the fans wanting when unwarranted. But the man follows the game of basketball.
MJ is no doubt one of d most dominated plyer. Check his FG, relatively much higher than any other great plyers. I dun understand y d Bullets cant stop him? perhaps His Airness is unstoppable!!
do you think this is one of the times that Jordan tricked himself...letting LaBradford have a big game so he could have a reason to play hard the next day...without even knowing he was doing that
if its youtube then y do u have an account because this is to watch videos not to keep on goin back and for on comments u may comment but on the FUCKIN video by the way that was my friend who made that comment i aint no hippecrit so shut the fuck up and watch the greatness of Michael Jordan G.O.A.T.
i have an acccount to watch videos when u have to confirm your age....so sdfu and mind your buisness dont worry about why i have an account. "this is to watch videos not to keep on goin back and for on comments u may comment" is what u say? ....look at you..idiot
yea that fadeaway is just fast and smooth, looks really good. but when i watch it carefully i realize that he totally moved his pivot foot!!i notice that jordan always got away with stuff like that simply becuase his footwork is so smooth and fast.
of course i dont mind him doing it over and over again.
i remember him doing something somewhat similar(but only one fake on each side)to allen houston in 97. but that one was not a travel and houston got faked so bad that he was almost 6 ft away from mj when he shot the ball.
Great job starks23. I loved the double fake w/ the shoulders around 4:45. Really, when that happens he seems to toy with the defender. One of the first things I ever noticed against the Pistons (playoffs) was a look of controlled rage.
MJ's ability to enter a zone on call is probably what separates him most from everyone else - also that no one else can even have his zone to begin with. This game was one of those legendary stories such as the Stackhouse one, the Van Gundy one, the Karl one etc. The one-handed jumper - pure MJ. Thanks again.
Starks23........thanks a bunch. what can I say. 47 pts in 3 quarters. That pre-retirement MJ was too special. unmatchable athleticism + incredible skills combined in one body at age 30. what more can you ask for.
No, that guy is a famous sports heckler, I think he was especially notorious for his Bullets' fanship. I have seen him on Sportscenter before and I remember seeing him jeering Jordan at a Bulls/Bullets game.
I remeber seening him at Game 2 of the 1993 Finals in Phoenix when Chicago played them and he got picked out of the game. He was reading the book "The Jordan" rules out loud behind the Bulls bench.
He's holding the chicken and yelling something. Yeah, some kind of voodoo I guess. Now that I think about it, maybe it worked. Jordan missed that second free throw at the end of the 2nd quarter, you know. :))
His name is Robin Vicker. He was banned from Bullets games back in the day because of his incessant heckling of the other teams main guy. Ironically, he's an attorney. The NBA adopted a rule named in his honor, for throwing fans out of games when they get out of control. It's called the "Vicker Rule"..LOL!!
starks23 ... thanks for yet another great vid , and in such a short amount of time . you and hoopsencyclopedia are like Santa ! keep the great gifts coming !

Too many of U kids here on YouTube do this ALL THE TIME..

no you can even touch a player without been a foul call, or players like paul pierce that twicth every time the feel some contact,

NOWHERE!!
Gary Payton's 3 BEST scoring seasons were in THIS ERA, so please..spare me!
blackadam06 1 year ago
Drazen Petrovic = Manu Ginobli
* what's the difference, aside from Ginobili playing under EASIER rules?
Drexler > D-Wade
* he was a better rebounder, shot blocker, bigger, stronger, just as fast & quick, jumped higher & hung in the air longer than Wade, and he shot 50% for 4 straight seasons, something Wade's NEVER done.
Penny Hardaway = T-Mac
Dominique = V.C.
Reggie Miller = Ray Allen
Mitch Richmond = Paul Pierce
And U can keep A.I.'s inefficient ass, give me Magic or Isiah all day..

can someone tell me what happened to LA Smith????
chivitas11 1 year ago
@SamuraiSwoosh very valid but also keep in mind what a 38-40 year old mj did to guys like , Artest, Battier, Pierce, Tmac, KG, Richard Jefferson, Shawn Marion, and what MJ did to guys like Kobe and Ray allen when he was 35 and no longer in his prime.
sopa71479 1 year ago
@SamuraiSwoosh dont get me wrong i am totally aware of that. But what a lot of these kids dont take into account is consistency. Kobe is no where near as consistent as MJ was.
sopa71479 1 year ago
@samuraiswoosh oh i totally understand about him not being the number 1 option. but what a lot of kids dont understand when speaking in context of being the GOAT, consistency is also a major factor. Kobe is no where near as consistent as mj, case in point in mj's last 6 full seasons with the bulls he had 94 games of below 40% shooring on a min of 12 fgas, kobe in the same criteria has 165 games. huge difference
sopa71479 1 year ago
so what i've learned from you biased as fuck Jordan fans, is that every team Kobe scores a lot on sucks, and when Jordan decides to show off offensively like Kobe does, it's not ballhogging.
Indianbrkdncer 1 year ago
@Indianbrkdncer no moron its called fact. kobe has 24 games where he scored 50 or more and 15 of them were against below.500 teams, of MJ's 31 games of 50 or more 23 of them were against above .500 teams. And 19 of kobe's games came after the rule changes for perimeter players

"every team Kobe scores a lot on sucks"
Yeah..
"when Jordan shows off offensively like Kobe, it's not ballhogging"
No..check his FG%'s & assists #s in those games.
"Kobe scores a lot = The team must play 0 defense"
Well since he's NEVER scored 50+ vs the #1-2 ranked 'D at ANY point in his career, and has 24 career 50+ pt games where 15 of 'em (7 with less than 30 wins) were against sub .500 teams & 19 of 'em came AFTER the rules changed, I'd say that's OFTEN the case LOL!!
blackadam06 1 year ago
And that, my friends, is why you shouldn't tug on SUPERMAN'S cape! 36 pts in the FIRST HALF? Sweet Baby Jeezus!!!

no defense on jordan in this game, and you jordan fans say the defense was better back then
actoman1 1 year ago
@actoman1 well lets see you cant hand check anymore. There is no more illegal defense call. You can play zone now. All the hard fouls MJ took from Detroit and New York would be suspensions now days so thats why there are no rivalries and everyone just gives up the layup instead of making someone pay when they drive to the hoop. I think you need to reconsider your idiotic thoughts
bridogg23 1 year ago
@actoman1 and there was no defense on kobe when he scored the 81 or when he scored his 61 against the knicks, and funny enough Kobe always seems to save his best games against the worse teams

this is just an example of what jordan could do to a shit team....if he wanted too. he had 36 points on command....like it was nothing in a half. jordan could of shot 47 times against this teams and scored 100 points if he wanted too....but jordan isn't a bitch like that faggot kobe. jordan could score on anyone he doesn't need to wait to play a bad team who can't defend him
wafflelirontmacspiat 3 years ago 2

He even got doused with a bucket of water a few times.
highcourtsdrifter 3 years ago
yeah, his name was Fricker or Ficker? Something close like that. When the "Jordan Rules" book came out, he was reciting passages of that book to Michael when he was on the bench, and Michael would put his towel over his head to hide it became so funny.

mjdbest 4 years ago
yea that fadeaway is just fast and smooth, looks really good. but when i watch it carefully i realize that he totally moved his pivot foot!!i notice that jordan always got away with stuff like that simply becuase his footwork is so smooth and fast.
of course i dont mind him doing it over and over again.

No, that guy is a famous sports heckler, I think he was especially notorious for his Bullets' fanship. I have seen him on Sportscenter before and I remember seeing him jeering Jordan at a Bulls/Bullets game.
throwdown3927 4 years ago
I remeber seening him at Game 2 of the 1993 Finals in Phoenix when Chicago played them and he got picked out of the game. He was reading the book "The Jordan" rules out loud behind the Bulls bench.

His name is Robin Vicker. He was banned from Bullets games back in the day because of his incessant heckling of the other teams main guy. Ironically, he's an attorney.
