  • they

  • I would be quite offended to find that people are saying my country's culture is identical to a neighbouring nation's. Yes I understand China also have mass games but to say they are identical would be quite offensive. Even if both of them are communists and need to be stopped.

  • basicly u confused north korea with china

  • Interesting...

  • China is not north korea !!!

China used to have this kind show. (Before the open policy was taken by Deng Xiao ping)

  • train for the state or be shot

  • they're geater than chinese.

  • Never assume you know it all.

  • know what all? I don't know anything... :P

  • it's not china man, it's damn korea.

  • learn to read titles and you'll see that I know that!

  • damn, you mean chinese olympics bullshit man?

  • I said "how it MIGHT be" you morron! Everyone knows Asian folks are the best at gymnastics, and, wether you like it or not, North Korea is in ASIA!!!!!

  • thats true...

  • Whoever uploaded this video is dumb enough at that time already. Anyway, after 3 months since the ending ceremony, did the 2008 Olympic games really look like this? It's a no right? So this pointless video just got even more pointless.

  • Man, what is your damn problem? Isn't this gymnastics? Didn't the Olympics had gymnastics? So, it cannot be as pointless as you say! Just because the ppl featured in it r from North Korea and not China? There were north Korean athletes in the games. Therefore, one more reason to keep the video. If you think, there's so many pointless movies in youtube, are you posting this same message in all of them?

  • Yes, the Olympics did held the gymnastics and North Korean athletes were included but the Chinese did not conduct the games like the athletes were prisoners as apparent as the one's in this video, especially at 2:56 when the Olympic games are like brainwashing events. More importantly, do you think the 2008 Olympic games are conducted with the brainwashing strategies?

  • Well, to tell you the truth, YEAH! I do! And I'm not talking about North Korea this time!

And I really can't see anything wrong at 2:56!

  • So you do right? Then for an assumption, you have not watched or payed attention to this year's Olympics.

  • Of course I did. The same way I saw all the athletes complains against the referees. And the same way I saw chinese people avoiding and not answering sensitive questions about chinese politics and human right made by foreign journalists.

  • ... the referees are not all Chinese. And plus you must not put politics into Olympics. Sound like you're anti-China.

  • No, not at all. On the contrary. I'm very found to oriental culture and customs. Yet, I know that the Olympic committee agreed with china's participation in olympics if they'd take some action for human rights and environment. But yet that haven't came to happen and little as changed (or little of those changes reached europe). I really like china, as a country. Not so much for their politics.

But still, this wasn't the main issue here, was it?

  • ic, all I see during the Olympic games this year are just like Olympic games. However your thoughts about the government in China is completely the same as mine, even though China has slightly improved their human rights over the past 30-50 years, a communist is still a communist so I definitely would like to see that country become a civilized nation. I just hope that the relations in Asia would become as strong as the nations in Europe.

  • Well I really have no knowledge about international relationships in Asia. Yet, with China becoming a super economic potency, I don't see any reason for them to start changing their human rights...

  • I love Korean gymnastics. They deserve a spot to send a team not just three athletes! I want to see Cha Yong Hwa in 09!

  • china gymnastics team won 9 golden medal, can north korea compare to china??

  • dose it relate with 2008olympic??

  • Nope. Nothing at all. The only thing this movie and Beijing olimpic games have in cumon is the gymnastics sport.

  • why u make that vid,i guess chinese gymnastics

team even have more golden medal than ur country total number

  • Hey, I'm not comparing china to Portugal (my country). And, if you see, at the time I posted this video, I couldn't know how the medals status would end.

Again, if you'd read the full text I wrote about this vid, you'd see that I was trying to guess how the whole olimpics would be. If I would've posted a Portuguese team, I could say the same thing "an atempt to foresee how the olympics might be". Yet, Portugal doesn't have that many good gymnastics.

  • China wants all Asians counfires become just like NKorea. Why? so they could make them be a part of China(ex:Tibet) All koreans. i know you don't like Japan, but it is time for you people get real about china, and be ally wiht Japan and US. and we can protect Asian from Nazi China; otherwise your nation will be a part of China again.

  • Nazi Chinese, en, sounds nice. We Chinese can't wait to be ally with US, Evil hub of ww3.

  • 그저 하루빨리 한국이 통일돼길 소망하길 따름입니다..

  • boah geil

  • nkorea = good people, bad govn.

skorea = govn good, people asshole

  • it's sad to see how brain washed the north koreans are.

  • great123123123: The brainwashed people are all in the U.S. That's why YOU are now stuck in IraqNam.

  • Could anyone tell me where is the relation between this video and the 2008 olympics??

  • gymnastics

  • Yeah I've kinda felt the same. And I've heard that the reason for so many bad reactions from the sportists and so many medals won by china is in the refereeing. Yet, I rather hope that the International Olympic Cometee will look into that.

  • Even in the big cities in China, people don't know how to speak English. I lived there for many years.

  • so you learnt chinese right? actually, there are more and more people who can speak english all over china - it gets better and better, especially among kids now. they're amazing!

  • Those are great news! The idea that have reached us (for many years) is that people from Orient (specially japeneses) just don't speak english. No one. Like, only 25% of the population or something. I've had a friend that went to japan for a martial arts competition, and they really needed a translator cuz absolutely no one would speak englis. :(

  • This movie has nothing to do with the Olympics. This movie is about North Korea only. The people in the movie aren't preparing themselves for the Olympics either. They are practicing for the mass games which they perform for Kim Jong Il. Know your facts before you release false information about other nations.

  • If you, at least, would've read what I wrote about the clip, you'd see that this was an atempt to foresee how the Olympics might've been. If you think carefully, it's not only the Chineses that are very good at gymnastics. So... when I try to foresee the olympic games, I'm trying to represent the sport, not the nation!Or there's any rule that forbids a country to be part of the olympic games?Only cuz those games take place in China, all the gymnastics HAVE to be chineses? What about the Japeneses?

  • see, nothing to worry about

  • note: north korea is nothing like china - n korea is an absolute rat hole circus with a bloody psycho for a leader, leading the world's most successful totalitarian regime in history - don't you dare compare them with china, a nation that is dragging itself into the modern age, opening up and accepting change.

  • Yeah, the only similarities is that both countries don't allow liberty of speech and free will. Besides that, they're totally different.

Anyway, I think that, in matter of gymnastics, this video shows very well what oriental countries are capable of.

  • liberty of speech - you can't bash the government on tv and on the streets, that's illegal. but i woudn't go as far as calling it "no liberty of speech", in the biggest chinese forum, you see a lot of ppl bashing the government, and that's fine

free will - well you cant commit crime, and you can't protest against the government in public, if that's what you call "free will", and really most chinese ppl don't care to do that

  • I don't know how things work in China but, in Europe, we have the freedom of protesting about what we think it's worth, we can say whatever we want about the government, we can criticise the government for their actions, we can complain to it about those. Our governments don't censure the information that reaches us, there's the freedom of information.

And the list could go on...

  • So you don't know how things work in China. These are all your speculations/imaginations. Nice try. But it would be better if you go to the country you are speculating about, and get some ideas by yourself.

  • Beleive me, if I had the money, beleive me I would! I'm fascinated by everything that's oriental. In Japan, the techonoly and the urban culture, in China, the traditions. And, above all, the people in both places.

I'm not speculating, I'm talking based on the news that reach us. Such as your foreign policies and the uneasiness of chinese citizens when aproached with sensitive topics like their thoughts about your (chinese) govern politics.

  • "I'm not speculating, I'm talking based on the news that reach us" -- I understand. But honestly, that's even worse than speculating. I live in US for years and I know what their news media is like. Anyway, I hope you can go to China and take a look by yourself, then you can make your own judgment. I believe you will eventually. Frankly speaking, so far the news media has been making conclusions for you.

  • In some of those news and documentaries about China, they interviewed a couple of Portuguese ppl and they all said that,in order to really see china beneath the tourism,we'd need to live there for,at least,a good couple of months. So,I don't think I'd be able to really get to know China.

Anyway, since you seam to know a lot about the subject, how are the chineses with the english?Cuz I only speak english and it would be REALLY sad if (when I go there), I wouldn't be able to comunicate with no one.:(

  • In big cities, many people speak English reasonably well. But you will need a translator in rural areas. A few weeks or even a couple days can give you valuable information because you will obtain that information directly by yourself, no matter if the impression is good or bad.

  • Well yeah I'd be happy if, at least, the people in the Big cities would speak english. Cuz, you know, I like to make a different kind of travel. I don't like to travel through those turistic agencies. I rather go by myself and get to know people from the places I go. I take way better experiences that way. That's why I find it so important to be able to comunicate with them.

  • so you learn chinese then. learning chinese will enhance your life there - and those portuguese are wrong, a couple of months is nowhere near enough time - i've been here for 3 and a bit years and I still feel it hasn't been enough time.

  • Well they also said that, even after 3yrs, they'd still fill like foreigners... =\

I'd like to learn chinese. The thing is I know chinese ppl speak more than one language. And I don't know wich one is the most spoken.

  • Hello. Just wanted to get back to the liberty of speech subject to ask you what you think about the recent censure of iTunes website from Apple because of one music album. Do you think that's something right to do?

  • Some of my comments on a variety of websites in USA were blocked by their pre-moderators. I didn't swear or something. So did it violet my freedom of speech? Maybe not according to their standards. So my answer is, you have your standards, we have ours. I'm pretty sure that China will improve in those aspects based on its internal demand, just not external critics.

  • Hum... Pretty good answer. Yet, one thing is a private forum, other thing is a public forum. And, in that matter, in occident there's no public entity that would forbid you to say whatever you'd want to. The only arm that could get to you, would be a prosecution for defamation from those you've spoken about. What I feel about china is that their people (in some way) have been so much "brain washed" that they end up believing and fighting for whatever their government says...

  • Well, YouTube is private, Yahoo is private, CNN, NBC, BBC, are all private. What is public in occident? An bulletin board in a PUBLIC university? Unfortunately, they also require pre-moderation. I can't post whatever I like on it without their permissions. Every country has its own rules and laws that must be respected.

Just a friendly reminder, if you are trying to tag whoever says something good about their government with "Brain Washed", you are really ending this kind of conversations.

  • I didn't meant to say it that way (about the "brain washing"). It's that I really felt awkard by seeing that ABSOLUTELY no one criticizes it. I mean, in EVERY comunity, there's always someone against some gov policy.

Anyway, about private subject, I don't know about CNN but what I mean as public is something of the state, something the gov puts the money from our taxes on.Like, public television for instance.

  • The flag at 2:32 was awesome.

  • i dont appreciate North Korea but they do some amazing and grand things.

For this reason i wont criticise

  • 中国 不是 朝鲜 谢谢

  • Sorry i meant NORTH KOREA.I am so confused

  • South Korea was always master of the ceremonys their ceremonys are the best

  • just so so, i think

  • Sorry I didn't mean to be rude.I love this video it is awsome

  • I hate ROBOT people! I prefer more imperfection withouth repression! FREEDOM,LIBERTE,LIBERTAD!

  • then it b boring.. its like dancing in night club.. if u want ppl to dance freely.. anyways they had years to practice.. so im sure they had a break!

  • Hey stop being mean to the uploader.. he/she posted this video 1 year ago! it was an assumption! The real night was great!! and wayy better than this performance!

  • Agree with you. Very beautiful spectacle!

  • I did expect China opening to match Korea.. I can only see Korea and Japan matching China's performance! .. since Oriental are really good in the 'arts'...

  • the guy is pretty much a loser, why bother w/ his opinion? hehehehe.

  • PERFECTO sin palabras...

    metallica_onegt@hot...

  • Stupid. No imagination.

  • No imagination of whom?

  • You thought China is still like this?! Go to China and see how developed it is there. Stupid and arrogant is your name

  • Hum... so what u're saying is that China is no longer one of the first references to what gymnastic is concerned? That's very sad. Cuz I've always prazed a lot gymnastic chineses... :(

  • What the fuck! You mother fucker,

    Alfred Stieglitz! Go eat shit!

  • What the fuck? You fucking baby. You go eat some spinaches and then come talk to me!

On and on your way, learn how to read a little bit and read my comments to the video before saying shit again.

  • north korea

  • "Strongest and brightness young race."

    -Adolf Hitler"

    耶 稣 看 见 这 许 多 的 人 , 就 上 了 山 , 既 已 坐 下 , 门 徒 到 他 跟 前 来 他 就 开 口 教 训 他 们 , 说 :

  • FUCK U.S.A

  • What the hell does U.S.A. have to do with my post?

  • How amazing, we don't know much 'bout north korea, but they work pretty good.

  • lmao!Korean????? Noob!

  • ROTFL! Read the title? Iliterated!

  • 0:37..cant believe..if he got pranked =|..and people go away after throwing him lol

  • bullshit !this is totally different alright? The China one is mind blowing it is perfect!!!!u r gonna see it on NBC urself

  • I surelly hope so!!! :D

  • stupic westerner

  • Iliterated german! Read the fucking title!!!

  • that's pretty good ^^;

  • The propaganda show is now ON!!!!

But we aren't watching your Genocide Olympics!

  • don't even try to compare north Korea and china. the opening ceremony absolutely kicked ass.

  • Guess you are wrong now... After watching the opening of Beijing Olympic 2008. Mind Blowing!!!

  • I still haven't watched it!!! Buah!!!!!!

  • it is not china, it korea

  • Maybe if you'd start reading the explanative text you would've figured that out faster. Or, at least, the TITLE!

  • ya know, i don't care who's in it, all i know is that's frickin' amazing and i'll never ever be able to do any of that, excpet maybe the wave of pompoms and stadium book turning.

  • it is not china, it is north korea

  • The title is ignorant and moronic. I don't care what the intention is. It has malicious intend and 100% generalization. Bigotry works two ways. Asians are perceived as dirty and have slant eyes while Caucasians are hairy and have strong bodily odors.

  • Man I really don't know what you're talking about. In matter of sports I perceive asians as masters of gymnastics. And that's what I tried to illustrate here. I'm sorry if I can't tell the difference between a chinese or a North Korean, or a South Korean, or a Japanese or any other one. Unfortunately I've never been in any of those places to be able to tell the difference. Here, you're the only one having racism problems! I just wanted to show how good in gymnastics you are!

  • Excellent, VIVA China and Chines people they are really hard working contrray to the Canadian who mostly on wealfare and just getting free money and wasting their own life and other people life

  • cool...

  • I don't really care Tibet was part of China or not,but it is true Tibet is under tight control as of today.want to be free? start a war with China, freedom is not free. Someone has to pay the price. The winner will the king.

  • 'fuknipon' Exactly. All they can do is talk. Saying 'free tibet' repetitively won't get you freedom. Want freedom? Go fight China. Winner claims everything. That's how things work in this world.

  • I hope that you mean that what the people in this video are doing might be in the opening ceremony not the gymnastics competition.

  • This video is Korea not China. Korea is about 2% of China. Korea should only be compared to those countries such as Cuba, Bangladesh, ... beacuse they are about the same size. Would anyone compare Cuba to USA? Hallelujah! Amen.

  • Read the description of the video. he clearly states this is a North Korean Not Chinese movie! He is simply comparing gymastic abilities and some visual elements.

  • good~

  • 不错

  • Don't forget about the billions in gold that the US Congress sent Hitler in 1933 to help build his war machine to kill your sons and daughters. Wars are manufactured to make money and redraw the map for the oligarchs, the Zionists, the Rothschild empire. Wake up. There is no left/right. The elections are rigged by the media.

  • that kid in 1:04 probly got it real bad

  • Please, they are wearing the Korean uniforms.

    All in North Korean!

    Not real China!

  • 2008? China? Gimme a break ignorant westerners

  • South Korean are bunch of spies, just this time is Beijing Olympic. Not only they are spies, they are parasite sucking Chinese people's blood. Suck us dry.

  • Interesting video, a little bit like that of China 20 years ago. But nowadays China is much more different and much better.

  • actually, this is really good video. I mean the performance!

  • Hopefully it'll be like the Mass Games but without the political propaganda.

  • Coooooooooooooooooool

    love this show. 5 stars

  • The music is I want more by faithless.

  • awesome

  • anyone know who this music is by?

  • thaks.i love your this video, thaks your great job,i am an indian man, working in china, any way all the best for u.all r same....every country peoples are same,

    thank you very much

  • to be honest, we were like this, but not anymore. u should take a look, i can say the city where i come from is better than new york. if u still keep saying this, just means u are a foul. korea is stupid , not china. learn how to watch and say, this is the difference between human and animal. and by the way, i read somebody says stupid american, this is not right. G Bush is, but not all americans, most i know are nice!!!!!

  • You're saying that Korean are no longer pros in gymnastics? That's a new one.

By the way, why you keep talking about america? I'm not american. And I don't want to pretend these people are chinese. I just wanted to show a kind of sports that asians are pro at. Regardless if you're chinese, japenese or korean.

  • americans just talk there morons about 60% doesnt even have and the majority lives in trailor parks,we asians work hard to better our lives and maintain an social and increasing our productions by 15% and working more efficient then westerners.Western people are not efficient nor they can work with discipline as production in the west is inefficient

  • Ok I was quite thought about the negative way when i saw the title (o not another person who try to put china up like North K.)

Anyways, sorry about that. Thank you for you positive thoughts.

However, from one of the interviews with the directors: they said Athens has proved that huge group performing is not necessary the best. Therefore, we may expect individual performances as well.

  • pardon me for my grammar

  • I surelly hope so. :)

  • this video is amaizin... the chinise people are incredible they have a incredible intelllige an flexibility

  • Well, lets say most of Asian ppl have that flexibility...

  • I don't understand why people never try to understand Asian culture and simply consider us as morons. A group as an entity is very much emphasized in China (and in this case to the extreme in north korea), so it is not uncommon for us to enjoy group activities. Yes it puts less spotlights on individuals, but who's to say what's better?

  • Well I showed this video because chinese and most of the countries from like Koreak, Japan and stuff (but mostly chinese) are specially good at gymnastics and they're worldly known for that...

  • I think you have very good intentions, but at a politically sensitive time like this, when Chinese people are labeled as "commies" all over Youtube, it is very easy for us to get all worked up when you (unintentionally in this case) imply Chinese are brainwashed etc. -- I knot that'w not what you meant, but that was my first reaction.

  • If you are simply amazed by the gymnastics shown through the Korean mass games and want to see something similar to Beijing, then put that into the description would save you a heck lot of time than replying to every single message here put down by people who are offended with the title and the current one-liner description.

  • Ok. Thx for your message. I'll try to change the movie descrpition.

  • Thanks for speaking out. I think much of asian people. What do you think of the music in this video? I think it rather sucks.

  • if those westerns threat us like morons we should threat them same way... who cares.... stupid americans ...sitting on their fat arse lazy bastards.. 34% of us population are overweight that a fact..

  • ???? What are you talking about?

  • I believe it's closer to 50%.

  • "Do unto others as you you would have them do unto you". Come on - let's be good to each other. There is too much evil in the world already!!!

  • the preprarations are not the same 我操

  • But they'll be similar...

  • how could u know that?how stupid

  • Both have great history in gymnastics. Wich is what this video is all about

  • Stupid! This is video from NK, not China. It is great anyway.

  • Just read the freaking description...

  • if u would've read the title, it says "2008 How China Olympics might be (images from North Korea)"! Dumbass!

  • that's freken north korea!

  • Better yet, READ THE DAMN TITLE!!!!

  • the damn title is from south korea moron

  • u changed it good boy

  • I've changed it more than one moth ago!

  • I've changed it more than one moth ago!

  • im so exited to see this on t.v here in the philippines....

  • I know what you mean,AlfredStieglitz, whatever your comments are,the topic is cheatful.

I think your ability of reading is ok,but your incapacity of thinking is bad. Please take off your colored-glasses and the cheatful topic. I want to know more about China Olympics,so I clicked, but I feel be cheated, understand? your topic should be:"what a bigoted man think about 2008 China Olympics".

I respect different opinions, but opinions aren't equal with realities, respect the realities, can you?

  • That, I respect and accept. I'll change it right away.

    Thx for the explanation.

  • This is not image of China ,but North Korea.

Poor AlfredStieglitz ,I feel sorry for your IQ if you're be cheated ; I feel sorry for your personality if you are lying.

  • Poor Ricefor2, I feel sorry for ur incapacity of reading. If you did know how to read, you would've read that I said I was aware that ths images aren't from the hosting country.

  • WTF, those are NORTH KOREANS VIDEOS!!! WHAT WHO DID PURPOSELY TARNISH CHINA'S IMAGE.

  • If u had read the comment I left, you would've understood!

  • this is a video by faithless!!! a greate one in deed, and it`s north Korea!!

  • Why do people keep posting the same video about North Korea and say its China. Like how many times have they been corrected and been called a dumbass. Seriously, people who still post this shit have no right to be offened when people call them dumbass.

  • Yeah and the people that make this kind of freaking stupid comments have no right to be offended when I reply like this since they don't seam to be literated enough to read the comment I made for the video and understand that I had knowledge that this wasn't China. But isntead, I wanted to use this clip as a glimpse of what might come from the china olympics.

Next time, start learning how to read before posting dombass comments and make a idiot out of yourself.

  • if you think that just because China and North Korea are both communist and asian countries that these will be the same type of preparations.....then you are a DUMBASS.
