  • Is this from the "Hot Rods in Pontiac" bootleg?

  • From just this one song you can tell they still had it as the world's biggest band in 77. I wish the footage would come already. It was definitely one of the better concerts from 77. The very mixed Seattle show just does not properly represent LZ on their last year of their musical prime, ruling the rock/metal scene. After LZ canceled the rest of the tour, disco, punk and all other bad music REALLY took over. After 77, they REALLY fell, musically, successfully and Bonzo's death really ended it.

  • Is this the show that set the record for largest crowd for a single act?

  • @TOSportsFan1990 ya with 76,229 people

  • @TOSportsFan1990 yep. I was there, we talked about it every day for a year. Awesome.

  • I was at the Silverdome in 77 and saw them. The place was literally shakin' man. And I would love to see some video of it, and don't understand why none has surfaced. Is there any? If I had a sense of history back in the 60's when I was a teen, I would have photographed and videotaped every concert I ever went to, and the times as well.

  • Screw that...Pink FLoyd sounded AMAZING at the Silverdome during the 11/87 shows, the surround sound was incredible!

  • I wonder if video footage does exsit of this.. Rumors have it that it does.. I'm sure something would have shown up by now though!

  • Is it exists a decent recording about this wonderful concert?

  • @ced95570

actually the silverdome concert on 30 april 1977 was pro-shot by some video company, but there is no multi-track audio recorded and none of the video footage was released even as bootleg. the same is for the houston concert on 21 may 1977 and the seattle 17 july 1977 - those were also pro-shot, but nobody knows about any decent audio record. the seattle show was the only one that has been released as a bootleg record - you can find footage of it on youtube as well.

  • @IstOne1989 ok thanks,it's pity;

  • @IstOne1989

it is amazing that with all the zep boots that it never came out, (or a sound board from this show). We can always hope

  • Where in the stadium was this recorded, in the rafters?

  • man the silverdome was the worst place to see any concert, the sound sucked bad, major echos

  • I just want the video to come out from this show! Can't stand fucking horders.

  • It's a shame you can't hear Jonesy very well, since the bass really drives this song. But damn, you can really tell they were seriously on. Thank you for posting!!

  • Bonham Is punishing the drums In the beginning with vengeance really awesome the whole band seems to be In topform.

  • Awesome but I think all the European Tour 1980 versions of Achilles Last Stand tops this

  • @skrufstrong This version is a bit slow. Rotterdam in 1980 is excellent. And Trampled Underfoot in Berlin in1980 is spectacular.

  • @jaysfca They didn't played ALS in Berlin 1980.

  • If you get through the quality, this is the definitive version of the song.
