The irony. The product placing puppet asking us to not be advertising puppets. LOL.
Of course you are right, I think. With my all of 42 subscribers it's easy for me to say I'd reject partnership if I qualified, but I truly believe that I would reject it. I want to see people being true. I want to know their opinion isn't being toned down or altered by the lure of monetizing a video.
I wondered how long it would take for someone to comment along thoses lines :)
I think in reality to make anything other than small change out of the partner program you need to be getting thousands of views, rather than hundreds. I think the vast majority of folks that qualify will wonder why they bothered from a financial point of view. The main benefits to me would be the channel customisations.
Thank you for keeping it real, and thank you for reminding the new partners to as well. You may have to remind a few of them again in coming months. Let's hope not.
I don't have a problem with Renetto, he was a nice guy when i met him in London.
The point of the video is to ask how much will the introduction of money for regular youtubers... will this make ordinary people do extraordinary things just to gain attention and money? In simple terms how many "community" members will "sell out" and go towards entertainment rather than interaction.
I reckon a sponsored video won't have the same 'feel' to it. Like those adverts you get on DVDs - pain in the backside (especially if you can't skip them!) and personally, I think people will tune out of persons videos if they see this happening. And I love how Colgate leaves you with that 'just-brushed' feeling all day long!
As people only join the partner program to make money they will do anything to maximise thier chances of doing so, this will of course change their content.

I believe Renetto already said: "Keep it real", so I don't know for sure what you mean by 'real'... Maybe you could define it a bit more?
P.S. I'm fine with Renetto, but well, he's different from the old days...

i think nalts should give you some tips on product placement in your videos - it's something you are much under-using!
