He makes dozens of claims that have not been proven and in some cases, disproved. Apes DO suffer tissue degeneration from aids, it just varies in severity from ape to ape. Virtually every human disease we infect them with attacks them biologically, it's just not as severe because the virus is tuned to our DNA, not theirs.

Incubate that virus in some ape tissue in a lab however and you produce that virus tuned to the DNA of apes. Infect them and they die quicker than we do from it.
