  • mmm.... bisphenol A - endocrine disruption- in the hardener I'd wear gloves and a mask and safety glasses but thats just me.

  • Excellent video! I'm losing almost 2 inches a day. I plan on doing this to try and find my leak.

  • You don't need to drain the pool to fix it! Remember the 2 part epoxy hardens underwater and then you can double check your work with the Dye..

  • A&B is perfectly fine to use in light niches for this type of repair and is a pool industry standard. No problems replacing the light either. As far as butyl tape or "dum dum" goes I would never use that product. It will fail rather quickly in a pool environment, Especially if you take the reflector out at the end of the season. Butyl tape (tar) was used for older style automotive windshields and other auto body sealing applications not constantly exposed to water, pressure and chemicals.

  • Great Video and certainly worth the shot. If you still can't solve your pool leak problem and live in New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania, visit AtlanticLeak online.

  • Very clearly put together. Really useful. Thankyou. Makes me feel lucky that we do not have to truck the water in!

  • Clever way to find the leak. Nice educational video.

  • Never use A&B...It gets rock hard and when it's time replace the light fixture you will need a hammer and a screwdriver to remove the A&B to be able to string a new light..That means you'll have to drian the pool and work on it from inside the pool...What you want to use is "Beutal Tape" which is sticky and flexable and is made for leaky light conduits...
