There needs to be at least a fireworks display. Jeez....even Waikiki, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, and other smaller cities around the country have some sort of fireworks display. I don't mind the tree, but at least do something with the colours and lights while counting down to midnight. Good effort though, LA Live...you'll get a C.
Sorry, LA Live needs to work on it its New Years event. For starters, get rid of that hideous electronic tree - replace it with a real tree. Advertise to the public. Im sure more people can add tons more suggestions!
