  • Fixing that hole in the roof will keep your mind from wandering.

  • thumbs up if you were looking for the beatles song :P

  • my roof is leaking right now as i type this :(

  • Oh no, I hope it gets fixed soon. Mine got very bad before it was fixed (two years of rain doesn't help!)

  • well see the messed up part is that they already came and fixed it like 2 weeks ago.. and now it is starting all over again..

  • me too.....

  • Hey Elise thank you for your brilliant vid!

I have my own leaky roof and when I was googling for info I found your video.

It gives me hope :)! I, too, shall soon have a dry ceiling!

  • Well I hope you do manage to get it fixed! Mine was like it for two years.

  • You truly are a brave person to put that apartment on You Tube for the whole world to see. We enjoyed this video very much. When you get everything painted we want a new video showing how everything looks. Maybe you could have someone over for a lovely vegetable dinner and show us that too. Please! Thanks.

  • Yay! I always feel so accomplished when things get completed and finished. I Hope your electric in your rooms starts working again soon!

  • lol, this is funny well in a Dangerfield sorta way. Ya gotta read "The Ginger Man" by J.P. Donleavy! It's a gas!

  • Last week's Nor'Easter did some wind damage around here, too. Huge storm. Some of the gusts were nearly hurricane strength. The sound of chain saws in the neighborhood was heard for days afterward, removing trees that had fallen on houses.

Pesky things, houses. Perhaps we should have stuck with caves.

Glad it's working out for you. :-)

  • Ah now come one, the roof is fixed, you don't think curtains could be just taking that step too far?

Very pleased that the outside will be staying there and that soon there may be light in all rooms.

    Keep smiling mate

    Chris

  • Do you live by a nuclear waste dump?

Maybe a tad of a comment pertinent to video or thoughts upon dear Ms E. was your aim before those 42 cans of Foster's beer kicked in... just asking.

Ring me on my Channel next time you've got a Nobel Treatise thingy like that Comment of yours, and maybe we two commit cyber-suicide together, hey?

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • That's nice to be rid of that dread problem.

You'll probably need to be setting off an aresol disenfectant bomb to rid that joint of the molds and microbes(did you see the movie "The Blob"... it could happen to you!).

I'd no idea wet plaster looked like that.

I'd say scrub all surfaces and paint the whole joint, because of "The Blob," you must lock that Blob behind fresh paint.

  • Good thinking! I don't have many insects in here (do have rats though) so maybe something blob-like is killing them before they get to me.

  • Bless ya, it's almost a hovel. Not quite, but on the cusp! Loved the vegetable vid. Made me chuckle! Keep it up.
