  • Ride is 1 of the best.

  • how is this not on the album? just an awesome song. love ride's melodies.

wish shoegazing would come back. come on england.

the yeah boy bullshit is so bad. so bad.

  • If I´m not misstaking this is from 92 right? In 93 Stange Cargo III was realeased and to me it seems pretty obvious that the music industry peaked somewhere around here. With the unsusual (and very rare) exception of course.

  • This is absolutely marvelous! Cheers from Belarus!

  • I LOVE THIS ABOVE ALL !!!

  • all the comments above are ridiculous! Viva Ride!

  • all the comments below are ridiculous! Viva Ride!

  • This is brilliant!

What do you reckon the song's about? It has some sexual references that's for sure.

  • I blame the chavs.. There was so many of them then they didn't even really have a collective name, t'was they who insisted we wheren't cool and served penalties accordingly. And yes compared to modern "Indie" our era was way cooler.

may I chance a little promo, these guy's should have been signed, please search...

FEED THE SWAN by KINGSLEY BEAT

    thanks

  • I don't care how uncool us Rider's were back in the 90's.......I feel so much cooler now because this music STILL rocks...........

  • @shelleyslater Uncool? Fuck off will you

  • @PleaseGoAway1000 ???????

  • @shelleyslater U mightve been uncool, I wasnt

  • @PleaseGoAway1000 Clearly you have become more uncool over time.

  • @shelleyslater Thats an assumption. Assumptions are uncool.

  • @PleaseGoAway1000 Well stop acting like an idiot then, telling someone to f**k off is, in my books,a very uncool thing to do.

  • @shelleyslater It could otherwise be deemed cool if it is appropriate, and I think that is the case here,

  • @PleaseGoAway1000 Ok, whatever you say

  • try Sennen by Ride

  • can't understand why this was not put on the album as the title track of that album. Same story with Nowhere, which only appeared on the cd version of their 1st album (believe it or not, but at the time - 1990 , vinyl sales were still higher than cd sales).

  • @sodacakeblues ''can't understand why this was not put on the album as the title track of that album'' Maybe because it's limp-wristed, bland, forgettable, standard mid-90's indie fare. Someone referenced this tune when asking why is A.Bell with Oasis when he was once doing tunes like this and Nowhere. Eh? Mind you it was a Guardian reading ponce who said that. Weird breed of prententious fuckwits those Guardian readers.

  • @Underground906, yep, don't let your opportunity to make easy derogatory quips based on yr personal prejudices and sociological generalisation (which I mostly agree with) go to waste when it betrays an honest appraisal of the merits of the actual song. Your replace yr mistrust of middle-class pretension with the pretension of acerbic derogatory wit which is basically based on some pretty petty bland stereotyping bollox

  • You guys realize that one of the Ride guys joined Oasis!

  • the early 90s created so much innovative magic. i dont think theyll ever be a period of music that will ever much again

  • These guy's were fantastic and so is this song. by the mid nineties they were bollocks, though. they never got quite as bad as the Boo radleys did. what makes these great bands go so crap is it the money? shifting genre's? or just listening to too much oasis?

  • Too much fucking Oasis!! I despise that band with a passion. Oasis were at best a 3 chord wonder band, slightly better than Slade!! There were so many better bands around at the time I just dont understand how Oasis got to be so fucking popular? They were rubbish, fucking utter rubbish!!

  • I double that one coltsuperocean10! Oasis was pure dogshit and now it's finally over!Pheeew!

  • @pinheadsen along with most good music.

  • what a great song angelic harmony my favorite band ever

  • why was this not on the album? music people are so stupid!

  • Totally agree.

  • Because at the time (early 90's) all (british) record companies had a new cash cow: the EP. With the CD single and the end of 12" extended single mixes, they wanted bands to release 4-track singles on 12" and CD single.

So a lot of extra tracks were recorded to be able to sell those. You had an album and 3-4 4-track singles with extra exclusive tracks so fans would spend 4x more money just to get all the tracks.

  • Early hip-hop EPs were better than some full price albums. Now, because of Napster and the nature of file sharing people can cheery pick the best tunes and ignore the dross! Everyone is happy!

  • the question was rhetorical. i had the single too.

  • double that. and what about Primal Screams b'side Screamadelica on Dixie Narco EP. NOT included on the album by the same name.

  • i know right? that was a great track too! and those singles are almost impossible to find anymore. it really chaps my ass!

  • what a great dummer!

  • This was on Liam Gallaghers answerphone around 93/94.

    FACT!

  • @kjt1981 It was OX4

  • Cracking tune

  • should have been on the album (of same name) - instead of the weak 'Not fazed'

  • My sentiments exactly....and 'Stampede' for Making Judy Smile.

  • should have been on GBA but theres no flaws on that FUCKIN awesome album..that ill never tire of listening to.

  • haha

  • This song has amazing lyrics.

  • Yeah great Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah AhAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • I read that this was on the Twisterella single which I did not have. I really loved the album of the same name.
