What is the plane setup? Body material, Fan units and diameter, motors, batteries, all-up weight, dimensions. Do the blades ever come loose operating backwards, is debris damage a problem? L gear retractable? Pardon the question-barrage, but that's one sweet bird you've built. I have been hemming and hawing over building a G-V for a while and your plane is very similar in size/design. Thanks.
Ahh I must've been crazy with my original comment. I was thinking of the conventional engine that lays under the wing, which when they reverse kick a bunch of dirt into the engines. The combination of bucket's and it's high and rear-mounting make it way less susceptible to FOD-damage.
Nice T/R's! Could you upload some more video showing some closeups of your reverser mechanism, etc. I fly a Citation X for a living, your T/R's are just like the real thing.
You've got some serious building chops! All these difficult to model planes and they fly so well. Very lightweight obviously. Getting my electrics right is tough for me. One question: You don't seem to steer/taxi them on the ground. Don't they have steerable nosegear? Just wondering...
Great stuff. want to put some reverse thrust buckets on my r/c Citation. Can you explain the mechanism. Are you using 2 micro servos on each engine? Thanks in advance.
Umm..neffwaffe if you are the owner of the plane or your friend is the owner, would you mind telling me how to make the thrust reverser.By the way,I'll favorite this video because its the first video of an RC plane that I watched with reverse thrust.
To make that thrust reverse work really really good you should weigh the entire plane down to like 5 times its weight then the thrust reverse will really do its job
Neffwaffe, I emailed you a while back seeking info on the Braniff 727 build. Could you please tell me where you get the materials to build these models. I am an airline pilot myself and love R/c. Please email me with the info. Just add yahoo after my screen name.

Fantastic - looks and sounds like the real thing (except for the short take-off roll - that would have never worked with a full load out of DEN in August) :D wingo - DENOTFL/MEMOOFL/LEXOOFL
When you land it almost looks like you can do reverse thrusters to brake your landing....is that true? Cool vid...and I lived in Tempe for 14 years until last year. Love the place.
fantastic jet,,and good pilot,,

One of these days you gonna make a real turbo jet engine that injects fuel into the engine and ignites it, then put that model onto a plane of yours.

Isn't that thrust reverser dangerous to the engines? FODS?
scaremenga 2 years ago
the enigines are still taking in air, but the reverser it directing it forward causing it to slow
