We think that we are unfortunate and our lives are miserable but we should take a look at some of the third world countries and especially somalia, congo and i guess most African countries where people don't even have food to eat.

hey, i love you & your show ellen but i think that this isnt really helping much as there are many many more people in the rest of the world like africa and some parts of asia that really need that make over more than anyone else in the world... they dont even have houses half of that size. not even their own bedroom. those living in sidewalks and alleys are worse... i really hope that since youre such a big celebrity you could really use that power to help so many of these people suffering...

The backyard is really nice for a couple who likes to entertain, but it's not really ideal for kids. They should have also thought of the kids and maybe put up a play area like a swing set. The patio is too large. There is little grass room for the kids to play on. The patio should be cut in half for the entertaining and the other half should be grass/play area for the kids.

I cannot think of a more deserving family! I thankful to have Ryan and Krystal as friends, and also to Ellen for blessing them with a wonderful gift that they totally deserve. Shame on anyone that wants to make judgments towards a family that they know little about. Krystal has raised her children much on her own, while her husband is deployed and works to become a person that can continue to help people. You will be hardpressed to find more loving and wonderful people than them.

As a personal friend of Ryan and Krystal, I must come to their defense. Ryan is currently active duty for the Army and is about to deploy for his 4th deployment to the middle east. Krystal is a veteran that also served in Iraq but left the Army to raise their children,now she devotes her time to her children and as a FULL TIME NURSING STUDENT. How dare anyone be so quick to judge whether or not they are worthy of this makeover.

The remodel was awesome and amazing , but I dont know if they really needed it. Don't get me wrong , I am happy for them but I feel like another family who are really suffering could have appreciated it more . I would think that getting such a huge makeover would have the recipient freaking out or in tears , I just didnt get much of an appreciation from them , but we all express emotions differently. Awesome makeover thou guys !
