Rave-y Dave-y smokin' big time here, rock on 'old fellas, great stuff - ta for posting this...Dr Jimmy (he only comes out when he drinks his gin or should that be djin).... !
Aaronmonkeylover, the bands you speak of being over shadowed basically didn't want to be in the mainstream sight, they prefered the underground scene. Good point though.
@Nemexhor have you heard the Zombies album Odessy and Oracle? Awesome album . The most unfortunate about the 60s is that the Stones and the Beatles overshadowed a lot of new bands. Odd. I love the Beatles and the Stones, but I hate how the were singled out and most of the other bands were placed on the back burners of history until a much later date.
@sowhatdude1 These guys were cool a long time ago and took more drugs than most of today's nancy boy pop stars and still played better music. Check the history of this band, they wrote the rulebook matey. They caused riots and questions in the house of commons. Plus, they wrote the 1st rock opera, SF Sorrow, which was released 6 months prior to Tommy. Today's bands cannot even hold a candle to these guys.
Wonderful! Spacefreakin piece of music. Gilmour is so cool when he plays. Playing guitar seems to be so easy! It's so bad that The Pretty Things don't have a better place on planet rock. They're so...Ah! They're so!
Arthur ("God of Hell Fire" )Brown (Narration)L-R Jon Povey (Keyboard/Sitar Bk. Vocal)Mark St.John (Manager/Percussion), Dick Taylor (Guitar), Phil May (Vocal/percussion),Skip Alan (Drums)
Dov Skipper (Skip's Son/Drums), Alan "Wally" Waller (Bass/BK. Vocals),David Gilmour (Pink Floyd/Guitar), Frank Holland (Guitar/Bk. Vocals)The GREAT Pretty Things!! Eric
Yes, sadly Phil May, the former sanitary worker from Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away this year. His bong was lying peacefully half full at his side with a copy of ZAP COMICS NO. 0 open in his hands. His cat Pud was pretty much oblivious to the situation as he was found with both feet kicking an empty box of Hartz catnip. Phil was cremated and snorted by an old bowling friend, Keith Richard.

I like this album, but old rock stars should retire, coz they look so laughable trying to look young and cool when they're not!
KX76 1 year ago
@KX76 They have more cool in their shoe laces than the young guns of today. Plus, more talent.
TheOtherJarhead 1 year ago
@KX76 I hope you even reach 60, let alone make great music like this. I forgot, kids today value looks over talent. Go back to your XFactor sonny!
