I agree with going $100 or so electric car before nitro, learn how to play with the toy, abuse it and use it to the max, learn the limits of these cars and how to use and not use them. Then shell out $500+ for a nitro car and take care of it. No need to brake a $500 RC car and get mad, when you can abuse a cheap one and not car so much.

i don't know why people suggest electric for starters, if you aren't an idiot then go with whatever you want, id rather have the maintenance, sound, awesomeness of nitro. thats what i started with, you just gotta research, learn and read the manual carefully and you should be fine. nitro just feels like more of a hobby then a toy when i have electric.

you have to re-tune it everyday, weather and humidity and barometric rating all make a difference in preformence

hmm, it depends, You mainly want to run a tad rich all the time to preserve your engine, just tune it for preformance weteher its warm or cold, you shouldn't have to change the needles more than 1/2 of a turn, unless the weather is substantially different, just make little tweaks in adjustment and it should come around
