I think the number of comments says it all really - there doesn't seem to much 'groundswell of local opinion' here (and I notice that NOGOE's website doesn't publish comments - an absolute given for any protest website in 2011).
You say there are no locals who want the Olympics in the park - I am one. I live in Vanbrugh Park, five mins walk from the park and go there with my dog most days, but I welcome the use of the park.
LOCOG said this week that NO roads will the closed and the majority of the park will be closed for four weeks. The children's play area and the flower garden will not be closed at all. I think we can share our park with the world for four weeks, don't you?
