And in the end, no matter how do you feel after finishing the game you still realize that this is an epic creaton in all ways that sould be in a magicly brilliant video game from an Indie game creator, considering the fact that there budget is very limited. This theme is not scary, yes it isnt, but its purpose all in all is to sum up the pulsing drama developed by the game and to serve it to the player and the listener in a one obvious 2 minute 19 second song format.

it does have the mysterious feeling and i think this best suites the game. i can feel the depression and gloom inside the game's story and this song. The Penumbra Series were excellent 5/5

It's a slowed down, more tragic version of the Overture main theme.

And i like the Overture theme more, but this one fits much more.

Black Plague, that is.

Mikko really knows his stuff. I love how the music builds up to a more "epic" tune at around 1:10.

Man, this track isn't even scary. Well, okay yeah it is but not in the traditional sense.

In my opinion, it's simply just depressing. It lets you know right off the bat that this is a story that in all likelihood will not have a happy ending. I haven't even beat the game yet, and as much as I hate to think it, I doubt this great-but-terrible game will have a happy ending.

It's pretty hard to when basically your story is about a man who keeps simply digging his grave deeper and deeper.

Don't jump to conclusions, the game is fucking great. One of the best horror games I've played, easily. Actually, the best.

He tells you - in overture that if "were lucky ill be dead by the time you read this" so yes - i doubt it will end happily

@MikuMech Actually. It depends on your actions in Requiem and I don't want to give spoilers but you'll have something like Fallout 3 in the end. But i'll also say this my choice was unregrettable. For people that beat requiem and did the right thing, you'll know what i'm talking about :)
