  • i think the pitch will do a bit for our bowlers NEK MINNUT...364/2

  • yaay im the 209th liker lool

  • What about Punter's call to field first at Edgbaston '05?

  • @5saghir which country r u from?

  • but there's no guarantee if the Poms had batted that they would have done any better... in fact its most likely they would have been bundled out for under 200.... Nasser was going to lose either way

  • it looks more like bad fielding than bad captaincy

  • what year was this

  • sing when your winnign comes to mind

  • When I saw the title I knew it would be Nasser Hussein

  • "worst call by captain ever" and it doesnt feature dhoni. better update.

  • i was the 169th like. giggity.

  • @CallOfDutyAustralia 169 is nothing like 69! I presume that was your point?! Stupid convict!

  • The best part of this video is hearing Steve Waugh say "Play well"

  • One word for all you convicts ASHES.

  • @flappyhandski Enjoy them while you've got them.

  • In defense on Nassar, I doubt either choice was going to work out. I reckon the Aussies would have rolled 'em for not much any way, so he probably thought "I'm screwed either way, let's see what happens if we bowl"

  • Michael Vaughan spills another Dolly. His eyes have gone

  • worst captain of all time Nasir Hussein

  • Whats the thinking? There is none

  • I believe it.

  • worst is sri lankan captain winning toss and asking to bowl first on flat south african pitch in early 2012. SA make 500+ and win by huge margin

  • Solid test match

  • On ya Nasser

  • Well, if Hussain wasn't smoking grass on the wicket, he would have been more competitive, instead of that lacksidaisical performance.

  • 1:30 cover should catch this, should catch it, oh wait, Bill Lawry JINXED HIM!

  • what did they make in the innings

  • @TheJasonmcpherson 492, Haydos fell 3 short of 200, as well as 03 2nd Innings, Ponting got 123, England were decimated by 384 runs.

  • ever herd of "losing a series on day 1" ........ england never even got into that series. that ashes was over before it had even started hey

  • Looool!..worst Captain for the English..!

  • Oh my god I'm Masterchief! I am the 117th viewer

  • I'm pretty sure I have this DVD :) This is Ashes Clashes isn't it? It's been a while since i've watched it so i'm not 100% sure.

  • a young bowling attack???? caddick was 50

  • @Altiar253 And Craig White and Ashley Giles weren't far behind!

  • yaay im the 100th liker lool

  • @RafiqueHassan1 congrates lol

  • @5saghir thanksx mate :)

  • @RafiqueHassan1 yay im the 200 liker lool

  • in my opinion worst call ever by captain was wasim akram's decision to bat first in 1999 world cup final against australia bcz it was cloudy, bit cold day, it was rain before the match and also location was LORD England where the ball moves(swings) alot in these conditions. He decided to bat first and that decision cost us alot.

  • thats a gr8 call by the captian... 4 the aussies that is :)

  • plzz tell me the name of the guy who dropped the catch ?

  • @Padmanabher michael vhaun i guess

  • @Padmanabher

    i think its Michael Vaughan.

  • Young Bowling attack?? seriously?? Andy Caddick is like old XD

  • fixed

  • @sediwearsten, you idiot! What journalist? What are you on about? Unless you have proof (nameless, faceless journalists don't count), don't go saying things just for the sensation of it. Any evidence of corruption on any level since Cronje, has been Pakistani cricketers, there has not been one shred of evidence, or even suggestion that Alec Stewart, Shane Warne, Herschelle Gibbs or Steve Waugh were ever guilty or knowledgeable on any match fixing! Ignorance maybe bliss but your dribble is not...

  • something even worse on my channel

  • Plain and simple - Match fixing!!

  • @sediwearsten or just a bad call by the English captain. Why blame every oddity in cricket on fixing?

  • @SnakeeEta Nasser hussain is a decorated and accomplished cricketer, his reasoning made no real sense and didnt really add up. Especially refering to his young bowling attack(NO!) being able to get something out the bit of grass (Where!). Its a pity such a game has been sorely tainted by fixing but i guess the expression ignorance is bliss says it best.

  • @sediwearsten I dont mean to say all oddities in cricket are due to fixing but its importnat to realise that it is very much part of the game...

  • @sediwearsten But where is the proof? All I've noticed in the past couple of years of fixing was a few young Pakistani bowlers.

  • @SnakeeEta Well just recently journalist have gone back into the Hansie crinje saga - and when he was found to be guilty he admitted there were other people involved but didnt want to rat them out, names like Herschelle Gibbs, Nicky Boje I have some indian sources that believe that Alec stewart, shane warne and even steven waugh had some involvement in match fixing. ignorance is bliss

  • @sediwearsten Ignorance is bliss? If you say you're not ignorant tell me exactly which journalist. You're obviously the ignorant one if you are quick to blame without proof just because you disagree with it.

  • This was the first cricket game i watched..from america that innings made me hate baseball! so i played cricket from then.

  • how shittie the English team used to be lol

  • @JFK2684 or how great AUSTRALIAN team used to be ...

  • @tharangafo Skills Great, AS PPL PATHETIC

  • @JFK2684 Untill they started importing saffas,

  • Sif Langer and Ponting got out!! Useless :P

  • The video contradicts itself. If the catches had been taken, the call would have been vindicated. But Australia would have won anyway, they were the best team in the world at that time for a reason. That must feel like ancient history now... (Worst calls: Ponting at Edgbaston 2005, Ponting at the Oval, 2009.)

  • Just about as bad as Ponting's call at Edgbaston '05.

  • 364/2 after day one? Inspired captaincy from Hussein. Outstanding son.

  • @Tehui1974 Ah yes, remember the 2005 Ashes where Ponting chose to bowl and England smashed 400 on day one? Great call from Punter.

  • wow, if i was hussain i woulda make the team run that same pitch 20 times

  • eng has some good fielders but i still feel they have some donkeys in the field. how does it feel hussssaain??????

  • last time around england never made a bad decision at all

  • 1-286 with a dolly of a catch already dropped and now the wheels are falling off?

  • Look at the cleverness of Ian Chapple (Australian). He started by saying "You going to bowl first?".

He convinced or 'gimmick-ed' Naseer to bowl first even though he may already wanted to bowl.

But Smart thing and it worked for Aussies.

  • @walE3dk You can hear Hussain before Chappel talks and he said we'll have a bowl, but nice try :-P

  • @butsy17 lol yeah but like i said even though he may already wanted to bowl. But nice little trick.

  • see the prfomnss by england palyers they all r donkeyss in this match ...

  • Nasser's not the lone ranger in overseas captain's bowling and being tonked at the Gabba, which probably incriminates him more than vindicates him. And I've always been amused and bemused by the criticism of Ponting's decision to bowl at Edgbaston in 05. All we heard in the lead up to the toss was about the lush green pitch and it'd be nice to have a bowl on it, same ex-captains in the box an hour later "would've have batted for sure". Australia's pace bowlers we're woeful that morning.

  • Don't think this was as bad as Pontings decisions to bowl in the 2005 ashes.

  • and lets face it England scraped 2 wins even though Australia were playing terribly...

  • @99ariyaratnamj Who cares how they come? They win those games playing one of the finest sides in history with Warne bowling as well as he ever did at international level. All that matters is looking at the series result.

  • @smilatt2

Well its the truth. Everybody always forgets about it. Australia probably deserved to lose that series because of their attitude coming into the seriesm underestimating England and thinking that beating India away was the final frontier. But England had an insane amount of luck. (umpiring, mcgrath's injury, aus's dropped catches, wickets off no balls etc)

  • @99ariyaratnamj A side does make its own luck too. Australia also got their own share of umpiring decisions in their favour (Warne getting two wickets with dubious calls in an eventual Australian victory).

  • the had no heart for so many years......they have some now tho which is good......maybe its all their imported players

  • thumbs up for 16:9 in 2002

  • Why don't we chaste captain who opt to bat first and get out before 100! Why bowling first is considered so bad? I love chasing targets!

  • hayden was on 142 at on stage

  • that was really a gud call but not for ENGLAND :) hehehehehe

  • donkeyss monkeyss evry1 out derr..u better think 10 tmes b4 u speak MR.HUSSAIN..!!!!!

  • @chunkz1187- I'd take 409 all out at the end day 1 any day instead of 364-2!!

  • Damien Martyn kept smashing the ball into his pads and being given out lbw. Simon Katich was given lbw to a ball that pitched miles outside leg stump and was going way over the top anyway (in the trent bridge test) just when aus were starting to build a lead (courtesy Aleem Dar). Billy Bowden and Rudi Koertzen are terrible umpires but they kept appearing in that series. Langers lbw at edgbaston was again going miles down the legside just when they were starting to buwild a partnership to..

  • @99ariyaratnamj aww someone get this man a tissue! fuck off

  • There was ridiculous umpiring in the 2005 ashes but it went unnoticed cs england were the home side channel 4 was the broadcast and australia aren't sore losers like the indians. Simon jones was plumb lbw, given not out and england went on to get another 50 runs for the last wicket. Aus would have easily won!!!

  • @99ariyaratnamj, England admitted to cheating in that series and nothing happened

  • Young doesn't necessarily imply age, he is referring to test match experience!

  • Ponting's decision to bowl in the second Ashes test in 2005 was worse and cost us the series after a win in the first test

  • @chunkz1187 I'm sorry but that is an incredibly stupid comment. We lost the Edgbaston test by 2 runs. Hardly a caning. And if anything, poor umpiring cost us that match, not Ricky's call at the toss. There were no demons in the pitch when it came to batting in the fourth innings, we just batted badly.

  • @chunkz1187

    not really they made 400

and in the end needed 250 to win and were 0/57

what lost us that test match was flintoffs spell that removed langer and ponting in 1 over

  • Comment removed

  • @chunkz1187 Ponting didn't cost them the series with that call in my opinion. We lost that game by 2 runs, Australias bowling cost them the series, shit batting cost them the series, Ponting alone did not.

  • Caddick 34

    White 32

    Giles 29

    Hoggard 25

    Jones 23

    Av: 28.6

  • most likly backed his team to chase a total rather then bowling australia out to win a game

  • dosent matter about 2203 or whatever this was, its all about now!

and NOW its goes 1.ENGLAND 2.LIGHT YEARS then australia!!!

    up the poms

  • @joshie3212 More like South Africa A

  • lol england

  • Caddick and Giles...young attack? did this match take place in the 1980s?

  • Rape at the gabba.

  • yeah but we know nasser is shite

  • nice old days, no australia is not a remarkable team as it was under the leadership of s teve waugh

  • Match Fixers!!!

  • Most infamous calls since...... ET phoned home! Classic....

  • I have a DVD of this show at home ! Ranges from The Under arm delivery to Gilchrist walking.

  • How did England win the next series?

  • @mahlstadt Warne & McGrath being injured helped

  • @trex0021 was warne injured in 2005?

  • @mahlstadt I was sure he was, but having checked apparently not. Still, McGrath being injured certainly didn't help, they lost the two tests that McGrath missed

  • @trex0021 you speak the truth

  • micheal vaughan couldn't catch coz he had vaseline rubbed over his palms ..LOL!

  • They have some good fielders but there are 2 OR 3 DONKEYS in the field.......:p

  • i guess India is nasser hussain"s in born country

  • Lmao watch these ugly english donkeys!

  • English donkeys hahaha

  • young Bowling attack . Caddik was 200 years , Ashley giles 150

  • lol

  • Who's a donkey now?

  • worst decision by an england donkey

  • The Simon Jones injury here didnt help. he looked the most threatening England bowler, but got injured after he took the first wicket. Not exactly a game changing event though.

  • donkeys.............ha ha ha

  • Comment removed

  • Fielding was good but still a few donkeys on the pitch lol ha ha ha ha ha ha jokes on you

  • But if we had batted with that line up we would be all out for 85 and took the contest out even more

  • 1:22 - Hussain was half correct.. Atleast they bowled enough to induce some catches..

  • young bowling attack? Andy Caddick was 106

  • @spacedoutboy87 .. hahahah!

  • @spacedoutboy87 ROFLMAO :P

  • ahhh the good old days when an england tour down under was a guaranteed fail :P always provided great entertainment lol

  • well ian said bf nasser that you are going to ball first aint that spot fixing

  • @sarmadrf you can clearly hear him say we'll have a bowl to waugh,... his own worst enemy!

  • @TheHanno12 i was just trying to say that he should be asked rather then told what are you going to do

  • @sarmadrf He heard Hussain say he was going to bowl first to Waugh
